Hey, do you think we can get a poll up for this on the forum? And who do we ask?
 
I must admit however, this is really a lame as campaign for independence. I would have expected war heroes, honorable causes. My Scottish neighbour (who would vote no if he could) told me that Salmond cannot claim oppression, because he is so fat.
 
At this evenings swoiree ..... I warned all the neighbours to be weary of a drunk Rockjock, blue face and all, blaring the pipes of peace on thursday aroond noon......

Haha Thursday will be boring - the actual process of voting is rarely interesting (IMO). Thursday night will be more exciting.

Edit : The most interesting trend from the graph is how the undecided have seemingly gone for the yes campaign. Whether the heart is winning over the head or just crap campaigning by the no campaign, the 'don't knows' will decide this particular vote

There are also a lot of Scots that want to stay part of the union. So I am sure there are those on this forum as well.
 
Haha, even in this far flung corner of the world, the vote on the poll is a dead heat at 11-11 so far.

Man, it's going to be tighter than a ducks arse, and that's watertight ;)
 
The most interesting thing about a yes vote will be what happens to the Nuclear weapons. I foresee a mad scramble, can't have a non NATO member with Nukes.
 
I suspect media sensationalism on the yes/no %
 
Scotland will have no nuclear weapons. I can't remember the exact dates, but the timescale was something like 18 months to get the nukes out of Scotland.

I agree, I think I read the NATO thing in an opinion piece so probably not entirely relevant, Scotland would probably be the most sober Nuclear power of the bunch. However the reality of prevailing opinion is that they will most likely be moved, especially as the Scots have said they will demand that the nukes are removed from Scottish soil.

So far the Scottish National Party, the instigators of the independence campaign, have said an independent Scotland would demand the removal of the Faslane nuclear submarine base on the Clyde. This would mean Britain's independent nuclear deterrent, comprising four trident armed Vanguard class submarines, would have to be relocated. It would also result in major job losses for Scottish workers.

How keen do you think NATO would be to add to that number? Irrelevant anyway, the Scots have indicated they would demand the removal of the Nukes if the Yes vote succeeds.
