Take heart. All is not lost. Westminster in any case gets the message that nearly half of Scotland wants independence. This they cannot ignore. It will result in important changes. And as those changes work through society, more people will see the benefits of Scottish vs Union government.Ag, you know, I'm feeling quite sad more than gutted.
Sad that people are content to do as they are told and don't have the stomach or the belief to go it alone, and to be fair, life for most people in Scotland is going well.
No stomach and no heart is what I'm used to from the Scots. We've always been small minded and irrelevant and I think it's down to fear and no small amount of indoctrination, but to watch the scenes of celebration is really sticking in throat.
The victors should really smile internally and go to bed. There is nothing to celebrate in being Scottish this morning. Theses scenes render me a North British and I need to get my head around it.
Odd, but I see Scots celebrating ? It's a bad day for you and Alex Salmond. The majority of Scots believe its a good day. Deal with it.Ag, you know, I'm feeling quite sad more than gutted.

Only very slightly more than half are celebrating. But you wouldn't know that by only watching British television.Odd, but I see Scot's celebrating ? It's a bad day for you and Alex Salmond. The majority of Scot's believe its a good day. Deal with it.
I can't believe they bought the Westminster lies.

Or you can't believe they wheren't all taken in by Salmond' lies ?
I feel your sorrow from the opposite side of the coin, The Scots hate the union and the English, yet we want to keep Scotland part of the union and support them, those that voted NO, did not do so because they love and are patriotic for the union, they only voted NO because of the benefits they currently get and will carry on getting.
Like you said about Scotland dying, The same is happening to England, no more backbone.

You also said earlier in the thread that you "like being British" - so what's the problem? You're still both.Yeah, I can't help thinking it's a classic case of 'first world problems'. Scotland has infrastructure, low unemployment and is highly educated, but it's a clear result for us being North British rather than Scottish and that hurts a bit just now. I like being Scottish![]()
But I've always known we are more complacent brains than brave hearts and tonight has just reinforced that.
and I am still searching for ****s to give
Yup. A good thing that. Puts a spring in my step amidst the general global gloom.I believe this could be the start of more devolution for England as well. I think this will galvanise people in England to demand that Scottish MP's now gave less say over English matters. The next months will be interesting.

Yes, yes. We all know you don't give a fsck about anything or anyone apart from yourself.
