We had a problem with one of our major routers but it has since been replaced. If you are still getting disconnects please PM me so I can check on the fine tuning.

Oh how I hate Screamer. I pay R770 every month, for disconnects, interrupted service, and a 9-5 call center.

Pathetic.

Looks like I'm the fool, here.

My 256kbps uncapped wimax was installed on wednesday and its running like a dream! :)
Getting on average about 30-35KB/s in downloads.

Don't play WOW but Battlefield 2 on the SAIX servers is a pleasure!:D

Thats why you don'y have a problem...

I play MW2, OFDR etc. No problems. In fact latency is quite good.

BUT WoW IS A HUGE PROBLEM. Screamer has no idea how to fix it. Heck, they don't acknowledge it's a problem.
 
Is anyone else still being billed at the old rates?
 
Yip.

I'm on the Techno Family contract. As long as I stay within my call and data quota, they don't bill me any more than they should.

Still a ripoff for sub standard service.

I'm starting to get the same feeling. The service is perfect if all I want to do is surf the web and download email. Anything that requires a connection for more than 15 minutes is a waste of time. Warcraft 3, WoW, PS3 updates etc. all disconnect continuously. Starting to get quite frustrated.
 
Where are you guys situated? I can't believe you're having so much hassles.

We were down over the weekend some but one call to the local suppliers sorted it out tjop-tjop.:D
 
I connect to the Fourways tower.

I've given up phoning the support number as nothing ever comes of it. With every issue I've had I've had to take it through Howzit for any kind of resolution.
 
I used to go the same way untill I got to know the local suppliers and usually I get good results that way. Who did your install?:D
