How long does it take from sending in your order to you being able to connect.

Mine was in a few days, they are pretty quick with the installation.

I experience a lot (approx 5%) of lost packets during "working hours". This is not:
(a) a signal issue - checked as is QAM 64 in both directions
(b) an issue within Screamer's network - approx 0.1% lost to boundary

It must therefore either be an upstream issue or at the boundary between Screamer and their upstream providers. Either way it is a capacity issue at one of the nodes.

Has anyone found out how or managed to change their account to the new offer... Wimax unlimited as an example?

I haven't had time to phone them, but I will.

I'm not on a contract, and I paid for my CPE up front. Borderline fraud to just try keep billing your old customers and old rates hoping they won't notice the new rates.

I will try that, even if it's just to wait out the 'Screamer fixing issues' out..

I get the feeling that the new ADSL products being offered have become their core focus and us poor sods on the WiMax/Wireless service are being hung out to dry.

was happy raidingin ICC 10 last night storm pops up connection goes from 300ms to about 5000ms.. no wow for rest of the evening

Hi Guys.
I'm looking at getting Screamer Wimax ok my question.
How accurate is there billing?

Reason is I'm not getting the unlimited internet but the 10 gig upgraded to 1meg line thats a cost of R360 plus R49 for the 1meg upgrade line. (we need the speed for the work side)

Any suggestions etc will be a great help.

I am been waiting for 6 months now for them to fix the constant disconnect we get in WoW and Ventrillo, usually happens every 10-15 minutes, make it unplayable.

Got my screamer connection running today.

Here is my speedtest results.

What line speed have u got? 384, 512 or the 1meg.
These results are better than I burst from Primrose with and average 80% signal

It looks like 512.
My speeds are relatively similar.
