No sound at all via Optical to soundbar, T.v volume plays fine and when connecting box and soundbar via Bluetooth it's OK... I read somewhere changing sound settings from Auto to PCM helps. I'll try that in the morning and see.

No luck. I'll just continue using Bluetooth for now

Chromecast stopped working after I updated. Not sure what to do now.
Edit: Seems like I can cast from Desktop/Laptop, but not through Phones anymore.

My audio also not working through surround system was working before update, tried all different settings no luck, using optical cable it doesn't work, but sound does work thru HDMI to TV u get sound

Yes, I have tested it now. No optical throughput. My audio hardware is showing no digital data. I am going to reset my unit and see whether it resolves the issue.

Yes, optical seems to be disabled or something. My other optical devices are also not detecting anything. Reset also didn't help

I was Skeptical that the updating the remote wouldn't do anything. I updated from v6 to v9 and the latency of the remote has drastically been reduced. It feels like updating from a cheap mouse to a low latency gaming mouse

Update. Seems like this is due to the device name.

After it updated, it asked if I want to change the name of the device so I changed it to Android TV.
When I set it back to the default of HPA02 and reboot, Chromecast works fine again.

I've lost sound via Optical. So I'm using Bluetooth now. Has anyone experienced this after update?

We will look into this. The sound settings do change between 8.0 and 9.0.

Anyone else have and issue where the box randomly switches on. Mine is doing it. I have set the power key to shutdown, not sleep. Then in the middle of the night the box comes on.

I have exactly the same problem changed almost all sound setyings and advanced settings but nithing. Was also forced to connect via Bluetooth fir sound

I also had the cast issue after update. Eventually reset my box to default and setup from scratch. Working fine now with renamed device.

I do however have an HDMI-CEC issue. Anyone else not able to switch on/off the device using this feature (that used to work before)?

HDMI CEC stopped working totally for me
