Interesting...so they upgraded the CPU to the Amlogic 905x2 but RAM and storage still the same. Would imagine 16GB storage should be minimum these days...

Xiaomi better come to the party and refresh their box.

These specs place this box now ahead of the Xiaomi&Ematic and on par with the Maverick probably.

This new Skyworth box is probably the best value for money now.

DStv now , Showmax are the only streaming apps working

Remote seems very similar to the boxq that I have (from pnp/guys who bring in the aim tvs cz electronics) which has the Amlogic 905x3 instead

Yes, but currently 16Gb would make this a bit complicated.

Yes, it is Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ certified, although as the latter is not launched here, you won't be able to use it.
