Skyworth Binge Android TV box

Anybody help please
My box has been working fine on dstvnow
But now wants me to go to now.dstv.com/tv again to put in code
Can't get that site again. Takes me to noreal dstv.com site......

Try from a pc or ur phone the code only comes on again if someone kicked u off the manage devices on the dstv app
 
@DrJohnZoidberg from your review I take it you never got passthrough to work, I want to get a media player because the apps on my 4 year old TV are getting long in the tooth, I don't care about Netflix so I figured I could save a couple of hundred instead of getting the Mi Box.

What I do care about is Plex or even Plex for Kodi if I have to to direct play 1080P x265 and x264 with DD or DTS including TrueHD and HD-MA.

Edit: @Fulcrum29 I see you also had issues with passthrough, any update on the situation?

Don't buy this box for a home theater application. It's fine for you average Joe who just wants DSTV and Youtube but I couldn't get passthrough to work correctly with Plex or Kodi to my Marantz receiver (not via HDMI or optical). It also doesn't support 24p switching and will struggle with high bitrate files due to its 100Mbit ethernet port.

There is only one Android box to get if you want a good experience with everything and that's the Nvidia Shield (except their remote, their remote is crap).

I want it as an average Joe user, no remuxes or anything crazy, my highest bitrate x265 is Planet Earth at ~5Mbps and x264 files at <10Mbps but I can't not have 5.1 surround and HD audio on the odd occasion I feel like it. I don't want anything crazy, just to upgrade a 2014 Samsung H series or my 2nd gen Chromecast.

Maybe try the MiBox thread then and see if people there have passthrough working on them, it also has official Netflix support. I'd say it's worth the few extra bucks to get those things working. Plus it looks like it gets more attention when it comes to updates, I doubt this box is going to see many more updates.

Maybe they have a R999 special again for Christmas, I know as of Kodi 17 the Mi Box can pass through DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.
 
Any suggestions on how to install a web browser and which browser.
Is there any APK similar to Downloader on firestick.

Because it's showing recent channels. Go to Live TV and click "enter". Then click down and you will see "recently watched channels". Click that and you will get an list to choose from.
 
Best Netflix APK, tried one and it doesn't seem to work, says it needs to be updated.

Also tried adding my Logitech wireless keyboard and it doesn't work

Is it attached by a dongle? If so make sure USB debugging mode is off. If it is Bluetooth, what error are you getting?
