choose arm v7 codec you need to download the apk not the zip file
so you still download all your movies and series???...Well it doesn't really matter as I won't use it. Plex is the only media player I'll be using.
so you tried it and it never work?I can tell you know this has zero impact on system-level passthrough.

I have not, these are 3rd party codecs for a specific media player and if they do somehow cause passthrough to start working then there is something very wrong with the box as this isn't a reliable solution to the problem and it should be fixed on the box itself.
I see where you coming from , but thats how I got mine fixed , also my dstv now app play correctly through my surround sound with no audio issues
Mixed, I use Plex along with other streaming services (mainly Netflix - another reason this box isn't much use to me) and Youtube.
I set my audio to "SPDIF" on the box itself, its weird coz my kodi plays perfectly fine but I stopped using Kodi for quiet some timeAlso could you share what your Android audio settings are?
I seem to be experiencing an issue that when turning the device on, it will give me an Ethernet not connected error. Nothing wrong with the connection though. The issue requires that i need to plug the power cord out to reset the device. Didn't even help just unplugging the ethernet.
Could be a hardware issue, not communicating with the OS? Weirdest thing though is that when I go to settings i can see the IP it gets via dhcp. So it's connected but fails to recognize that there is an internet connection.
Try setting a static IP.Hi @sirbluepants
Did you ever get this resolved?
I am having the same issue but on my Android TV. Exactly the same symptoms tho.
Issue got solved with the firmware update the skyworth box received. I tried all the other fixes i found online like static IPs etc. Didn't work. Firmware update fixed the issue.Hi @sirbluepants

According to the Skyworth Rep here on the forum they are just waiting for Netflix and they know it is critical to their success. I personally are happy with DSTV, Showmax and Cyberflix oh yeah and your profilenameWill skybox ever get an"official" netflix?I bought one which I will open next week..I need it for dstv now and netflix..although I can play netflix through ps4
I've just accepted the fact that only the Shield can do that.Hello
Will there be another update to this box? If so, will it perhaps include frame rate switching?
