Dont think I will install 4K cameras anytime soon just does not make sense for my use case.

Will this Switch work for the camera. Will be my first time using a POE switch, any switch for that matter.

Really impressed with Uniterm Direct. They delivered the order earlier. This should be the standard for ecommerce in the country.

Yep 8mp averages 8000 kbps via a fast poe same as the 5mp. I have a 100mbps fibre line.

Receiving my gigabit poe switch this week. With 7 cameras and another 3 (1 x 12mp for gate) planned I prefer excess cable bandwidth (mostly cat5e and some cat6 outside):

2 x Reolink 810As 8mp
4 x Reolink 410As 5mp and
1 x Reolink Argus 2 2mp 1080p wifi


Plus
1 x Hikvision 720p (I think) analogue
2 x Wyze Pan Cams wifi

I plugged this thing in and connect my Unifi AP to it but it won't power up the AP. The AP powers up without issue with the Unifi POE injector.

Also there are four dip switches on the front what are they for?

Hope I didn't buy a dud.

Which Unifi AP are tou trying to power?

The switch may not be compatible on the 802.3 poe standard that the AP wants

I got the DLink DGS 1210P. Its only 8 ports but its a gigabit switch.

Still have an old 4 port poe switch that I'll use in interim if the Tenda 5 and 9 port switches sell.

16 port POE gigabit best. Just steep prices. Have a Fast 16 port (non POE) netgear switch and just makes cabling easier.

Dlink poe gigabit switch arrived. Quick plug and play and all cameras transferred. Just need reconnect poe cable next week of old Reolink RLC410 already mounted. This will be connected to old netgear poe switch within 15m as it saves a looooong cable connection to main poe switch.

The dip switches might be to set AI to allow resetting one port instead of entire switch:
"AI functionality can be activated and deactivated via a toggle switch on the device."

This is an active POE switch, so unless your AP somehow requires a different poe standard as @powermzii suggested, it should work with the Reolink cameras. My cameras work with both the Tenda active poe switches.

Will check on my old poe and tenda poe switches my Unifi AC LR to test.

I will check later again. The cameras are arriving in SA later today, already enroute from Dubai. How long till delivery from the time I reached SA? DHL app says estimated by end of the day Friday.

Silly question BUT did you plug into the poe ports or into 2 uplink ports? My dlink has 2 sfp ports and 2 uplink ports.

I do have the app. The shipment took a strange route from Dubai to Bahrain then Kenya and no in Johannesburg. Still haven't received any correspondence from DHL.

Honestly not sure why yours delayed. My experience to date is that they normally deliver within a day of arrival.

And my RLC810As were delivered at 9am, 7 hours after arrival at 2am.
