Thanks, that does look much neater. I was wondering what to do with all the extra cables hanging from the camera when I put mine up. Will do this for the next ones.

If you need flexible hose too you can use stove flex pipe

I am looking for a POE switch for the cameras at the new house. Currently use a Tenda one that works fine, but I want a AI switch this time. I am looking at the Scoop POE switch with 8 POE ports. Is there a reason to go Gigabit over Fast ethernet if this is only going to be used for cameras? I currently have some 5MP Reolink cameras and they each use about 800 kBps. The new place will have some of these and some 8MP cameras, but I don't see 8 cameras exceeding 100 Mbps? Can you connect both uplink ports to the router to have a 200 Mbps connection to the router?

There is a version with GE uplink which might make sense to get as it is not much more expensive, but the POE ports do not need to be Gigabit for one camera?

Whats the cheapest indoor camera that can record continuous(looping when full) unencrypted video to SD card, is that even possible?
I have a YI 1080p Home Camera that is fine for the job but you can only view the footage via the app, If you take the SD card out of the camera and put it into a card reader in a computer nothing can read it.

Can you read the recorded video off the SD card?
Is the EZVIZ app decent?
With all the cheap chinese cameras the hardware is fine but the app is absolute trash which makes them unusable.

That is a fantastic price for it,it's a great camera,app is also one of the best i've used
Can't speak to reading recordings off the card,I hook my cams straight to NVR or just stream directly

But from what I have gleaned from this thread if I buy a similar Reolink camera like the one in the link below I'll get free remote storage for the life of the camera vs just 1month trial with the EZVIZ or does that only apply to the higher end Reolink cameras?

Yeah, I have been looking at their prices for a few weeks since I need some more cameras. The 410's are now $60 where I bought mine mostly for $42.

I've never used / needed their storage tbh - went straight onto Blue Iris

Do you have no offsite recordings?

Blue Iris looks good but seems like it's essentially only onsite video monitoring and recording, obviously you can remote monitor it though.

No offsite recording - i COULD back up the alerts etc to google drive - just haven't set it up.

Alotta apps you can dump to a personal cloud storage like Onedrive. I did it with Ispy
