k53 isn't a legally required driving standard. It's a testing standard :p There's no legal requirement to use your handbrake at a stop street. It may be best practice, but it's not illegal not to.

Shut up you! :p

you tell the traffic department that the next time you are there. I would love to watch that conversation.

Tell them what - that they're testing according to the standard?
Will do. I'm sure they'll appreciate the compliment.

They cannot see inside my vehicle, whether I am pulling up the handbrake or not.

They actually do appreciate it... I've done it before, and the testing officer was quite happy...

The McD's I bought him for his lunch was also very much appreciated by him and I somehow ended up with a little plastic drivers license a few weeks later even though I knocked over all the cones, and rolled back on the hill start.... its amazing what compliments can get you in this world :D

no, that is isn't a legally required driving standard.

They don't care. They have a _TESTING_ standard to adhere to that tests your compliance with BEST PRACTICES.
Doesn't make it a _LEGAL_ requirement.

Difference: Best practice is to slow down in the wet. The LAW doesn't change, you can't be prosecuted for not slowing down in the wet.

Ok, lets clue you up on how things work...

Its a testing standard, and they are fully aware of that and do not think its a driving standard. Its the way you are required to drive when you are being tested for competency for your driving license.

What bribes?

I was being a nice person, I bought him lunch since he asked me to stop at McD's....

It obviously works well. Maybe OP should offer to buy the public prosecutor some Nandos. I mean, he's a higher ranked official than a tester, so I'd say he needs a better class of meal :D

I think a full chicken meal in mild (can't be sure if he likes it hot or not) is called for..

Also, at least a 2l coke... a can just won't do.

and that's not a bribe by what means? oh yes, wait, you were just being nice.

"Oh judge, I failed my drivers dismally! but I still got my license in the post. and I can stand here and point fingers at others for the mistakes they make.

but the traffic cop enjoyed the lunch i bought him."

Hmmm, you're low balling it now..

The PP is classier than that, Glen Fiddich 18yr old.

It's a process.

You need to keep the 18 y/o for in case he has a rash of honesty and reports you to his boss.

Maybe offering a normal 18 year old would work? I hear white slavery is the in thing.
