Sony Xperia Z

Sony have truly taken their sweet time with the 4.2.2 update though, they said it would be out shortly after the Z's release...that was in February it's now nearly mid June, ridiculous!

Everyone knows Sony is never reliable with their updates. Take everything they say with a pinch of salt.

Yep, I learnt the hard way with my Xperia X10, promised myself I'd never go back to SE/Sony after that. I just hate the fact that they STILL haven't learnt their lesson, and they continue with their poor support, the Xperia S only just got Android JB last week, even the Samsung Galaxy S2 beat it to JB.

I think Xperia S was an exception since they have really pushed out a lot of updates so far this year for all the devices and even though we have not received 4.2.x yet, at least they are continuously sending out firmware updates to fix issues. So I will give some credit to Sony for trying a bit harder this year.

I'm really looking forward to the ZU, my friend has the Z, it's an amazing phone. I love the waterproof feature, he dunked it in the swimming pool one day while taking a video, I think I would struggle with that ;)

The Z tablet is just as amazing, I don't know how they packed all that hardware in that thin shell :O

Anyone been able to get the charging dock?
I am not paying the ridiculous price Expansys wants for it.

Download speeds are quite fast in semi-rural Scotland:

It's a bit of a gimmick - still, it rains a lot here and it may come in useful.

On the contrary, I don't think it's a gimmick at all. Accident can happen. It's a very cool feature. Imagine how many people have broken their phones with water.

I guess that's true.

It is a pain, though, to undo the plastic flaps every time I connect the USB cable or headphones.
