Sony Xperia Z

I used to think that the waterproof feature was only a gimmick and I surely did not buy the phone because it is waterproof..... That all changed when I knocked over my cup of coffee this morning,leaving my phone soaked in black coffee. Lol was pretty usefull to just be able to rinse the phone under some water.

Accidents do happen and it is convenient to know that your device will be able to withstand these accidents.

Does anyone know where to find hard shell covers for the phone????
I could only find one cover at the flea market, now i have this awesome phone but looks like a book.
 
Upgraded to Android 4.2.2 Today :D So far it seems that battery usage is improved (usually the battery dropped quite fast while browsing with HSDPA+/LTE) and also the device does get very hot anymore when on LTE or doing something that stresses the CPU. Some other improvements included the camera picture quality in low light...still not amazing but atleast it is getting better with every update. There are a few UI changes aswell with the customizable toggles in the notification bar and the new small apps layout being my favourite.

Nope still unrooted and locked bootloader. I just downloaded a. ftf of the firmware released in another region and flashed it via flashtools. Lol yeah nothing wrong with 4.1.2 I just decided in the spur of the moment to do it since it has been released for 2 weeks already and nothing yet in SA.

lol 2 weeks, I think I waited 6 months after the US for the official Ice Cream Sandwich update in SA. Waited almost as long for Jelly Bean as well. Finally flashed the official firmware as well. For anybody scared of doing this, it's really easy and you don't have to root.

Yeah it cant be any simpler than what it already is. Besides I think its ridiculous that we have to wait weeks or in some cases even months before we recieve the update when its already available internationally.

I dont get why everyone cant get the updates at the same time?? I know some carriers test the software first. Lol and guess it will be a bit chaotic if millions of people decided to update their device at the same time
 
Got one yesterday and have to say I'm very surprised!!
Coming from S4 i thought I'm gonna be disappointed but wow very nice phone.

What made you change from S4 to Xperia Z???
 
If anyone is looking to have more options to customize the lockscreen, just download dash clock and its extensions. Will give you a few more customization options.
 
Is it worth it getting this phone now..or should I wait for the "one"? :)

Well I think the "one" is rumored to be available only in september or october so if you are not in too much of a hurry I think that device will definitely be worth waiting for.
