Guys no luck the XPOL isn't making a difference to the SINR, nor the RSRQ vs the mANT
RSRP went form -87 to -80 or -79
8dB is a significant improvement, but like I said earlier in this thread, it could be congestion or problems with the tower itself.

The fault definitely does not lie with your XPOL or mAnt.

But didn’t we already mention the
Tower is congested ?

there should be more towers around …

I have tried 2 now, even changed bands, so the one tower gives the best speeds, but sadly the SINR I can't get it above 2dB. On B38 the speeds are a bit worse than B3, but the upload is really really bad, like 0.24Mbps

Sadly can't connect to 483, 47 , but this is the situation now

Show us what towers you have around !

I was talking about SINR that is still very bad.

Well rain suddenly went quiet. After a lot of promises, even for credit on the account. Even if I got something like, we are still looking into it, or I haven't gotten any feedback yet from the network team, that is okay for me. But if they just go quiet. I am sorry I call that bad customer relations and service. This has been going on since June, when I first reported the tower to be down. At this point it would be faster for me to just fix it myself. Even if I need to do some advanced signal course. I am really disappointed, I don't know how rain is planning to expand their service if they can't even keep a tower running, or actually look into an area and look at the frequencies and noise floor.

Hi @GhostShow

Apologies for the delay in feedback. You will receive a call shortly.

Well guys I am at my wits end here. XPOL-6 11dB gain, 4km tower. But now rain is being like you are outside of the coverage area. Yet where the Xpol is, there is a spot of blue to indicate there is coverage. Getting signal isn't the issue but the SINR is, but seems like they are just going to shrug this off. At this point I might just need to phone ICASA and report signal interference and have them address this, and get a new provider.

What are your stats with the XPOL-6? What band?

Edit: Sorry, I see you posted those before.

I'm at a loss man.

Yeah so I am, so I reached out to ICASA I am waiting for their response.

If the tower isn’t working for you buddy it’s not worth the stress honestly we all have been there …

most of us struggled with 4g towers and test all the towers around us … so unfortunately it’s either you get another service provider or something

The problem is that if that tower is causing signal interference, its going to be an issue with other providers, unless their frequency is okay. So that rules vodacom out.

Fibre ? Anything in your area

This is also a good reference.
,this is how the operators can actually increase how well a tower works.
