True it is a dismal option to say the least, but it's something to reject :P

I'm over the 'student promotions' business and waitering.. I need to hussle some money :)

I very nearly started a company like this a few years back that faciliated the advertising on cars in return for a subsidy on the car repayments. Didnt seem financially feasible though so crapped it after doing the numbers. Might be worth buying cars and leasing them at ridiculous rates with advertising.

Lol stuff that, R2k per month minimum! And even then it has to look cool, be appropriate and not be too big.

I had an offer for R1500 a few months back, the problem was I'd be advertising fast food delivery services. They can keep it.

What is wrong with advertising for fast food services? for R1500 bucks? Sounds good to me :)
 
Lol I probably would be too picky regarding advertisers...
Advertising a fast food place would look like you are a delivery man, I would wanna advertise Peniston Oils and Larsen's biscuits :D

Not on my car thanks, I spent too much on it to have girls point and say "hey it's the fast food guy" :D

If it were something car-related like audio and performance parts manufacturers then I wouldn't have even given it a second thought.

Is your car all pimped out or something? I take it they approached you based on the way your car stood out...
 
Another bump in the hope that someone somewhere has some intel.

I have had no joy contacting various places. It seems like they just don't do it at all. At 1st I thought I might struggle as I only have a humble Velociti to advertise on, but it seems most companies just don't offer this type of thing to members of the public :(
 
What a mission to find this thread..... anyway, i got this from a friend recently:

Interesting....Well there is no harm in sending them a blank mail and seeing what they have to say I guess...
 
They have various notices up at uct asking people to have their cars branded. The one saw paid like R1000 a month if you drove a black polo playa with the branding on it.

In my five years at UCT I have never seen one of these ads :(

Do they ask for specific cars always then?

They put them up in LS. I'm not sure if they always ask for specific cars, but this one was specific. Usually just skim over them. Sorry.
