Location: Hyde Park
Tower: Rosebank
Modem: UTD on LAN
OS: XP Pro SP2
Problem: Cannot send emails longer than two lines, speed very irratic, modem disconnects frequently, most of the time cannot access Internet during business hours

Location: Linden Ext
Tower: Northcliff
Modem UTC (is that the laptop one?), 70 - 100% signal strength,
OS: Windows XP Pro, SP 2

Problems: Slow speeds, and I mean very very slow! Sometimes the connection just dies.

I went (on suggesten by Shaun) to their offices and replaced my modem. Even though it's better, I get this from Telkom Speed Test:
Your line speed is approximately 196.2 Kbps or 24 kBytes/sec

Modem .:. UTD with LAN
OS .:. Xp sp2
Brief desc of problem .:. iburst is the problem. unreliable. slow.

i am also of the opinion that this new IP range change is causing this slowing down before my ip range was 196.46.**.** and i still had decent speeds compared to what i get now ..

Brief desc. of problem: You still want one?!? This test makes the connection look faster than it is. Sloooow. I max out at capped speeds. With 800MB still available to me.

hey stuff speeds. i just dont want to get disconnected every 2 minutes!
I also want to be able to finish downloading my mail. Speeds are alright (not better than ADSL but its the disconnects and the non consistency of their service that is eating me up. stop supporting them.

Their service is not good!
Its not worth the money!
And, they are not helping the needy clients!

Stuff them!

speed is not everything

I just checked my speed with adsl speed test:

"Your line speed is approximately 945.3 Kbps or 115.8 kBytes/sec"

I just wish i could reliably connect with https and pop3 secure.....

check my post on https.

richard its simple, you email Dylan with the data and he can help fix the problem. He's only doing this because he too uses iBurst and just wants a reliable stable internet service just like you, if you don't email him with the details then how is anybody supposed to help, they can't read your mind

I agree, If ur not willing to take action /cooperate, u don't qualify to complain either ;)

Well I've my DOWNLOADS open. I must choose between MSN/IRC I've reached my CAP, I could e-mail you up.
