TCL TVs

I wonder if i'll get the sound bar or not...they didn't say anything about it on the site.

Does anybody know when the C7K will be available in South Africa?

Same question. Missed out on the c755 clearance promotion and now it is out of stock everywhere. Struggling to get an answer on when the c7k will be available. Don't really want to go the Hisense route, but with no date for availability, i can't just wait forever for the TCL to become avaialable.

I hear you....still waiting, it's been over a month and TCL themselves say I must get answers from the website, which of course has no information like that.

Not to derail this TCL thread. maybe have a look at these Xiaomi TVs. Similarly specced to the C755

We are replacing an old Samsung TV that's 10 years old. I am wanting to get a reasonably priced 75 inch that has Google TV, good sound, and crisp picture.

I am seeing the P7K and P8K TCLs on Takealot but not a lot of information about them online. Anyone know if they're worth the price tag?

I notice some South Africans have said TCL are a dark horse in the market?

I tried contacting Incredible Connection and Hifi-corp multiple times, still no actual answers. Would also like the C7K, don't know if I want to settle on the C6K...

Oh don't waste your time with them. IC and Hifi are Pepkor if i recall correctly. Had horrid issues with them in December when they had a C845 advertised. Paid them and a week later theres suddenly no stock. Had to wait about a month get refunded after like 50 calls to them. 2 months later the Tv was still advertised online but still no stock

So we're 8 months into 2025, and all we have as options are entry-level TVs from ALL the brands?? TCL is still pushing the C6K like it's the greatest TV ever (While it's worse than 2024 models). Hisense only has the Q range available (No 2025 U7/U8 yet). Samsung has their new QNxxF range on pre-order (But we all know the price is 3 times the rest and doesn't perform even half as good). Why does SA get shafted with TVs???

Hoping you folks see this quick..

In the store right now, waiting to pull the trigger on a new TV..

TCL 55C655 is catching my eye..

Wrong choice..? Limited to 55" size..

Did you pull the trigger on this?

I mentioned earlier in this thread about the issues with my 55C645. I was fixed in February when they replaced two boards inside it. Well it stopped working again on 29 July. There is power but the screen doesn't come on. This is the current status...Screenshot 2025-08-10 080030.png

I doubt I would buy a TCL again after this experience.

So just an update on the above issue. A company called SSS Cellular phone me on Monday to say they are sending a technician out to repair the TV. He was due to arrive some time after 12 on Tuesday. Well Tuesday came and went with nary a sign of said technician. Meanwhile the website was still showing the above information. I sent an email to the service department that first contacted me and this is the reply...

About 10 minutes later the technician arrived at my house. I was not there but at least my son was there to give them access. Twenty minutes later they were on their way again telling my son that the TV is not repairable. I then phoned the 0800 number from their website. They also told me the official version is that they are still waiting for parts to arrive. After explaining the story to them, I was told they will have to wait for the job to be closed out before proceeding. It is still currently sitting at "waiting for parts". Sigh!
