Internet went down with Telkom this morning - in Hillcrest Kwazulu Natal. Cannot speak to 10210 ...... every extension immediately cuts me off. Anyone know when we shall have our internet up and running again? I feel so sorry for small businesses. Telkom rep mentioned that the main board was down and it is a nationwide problem.

ADSL went to intermittent on Friday. By Saturday morning NO ADSL but voice working.
ADSL returned late Saturday at full speed. Ok all Sunday.

been down the whole week, line speed changes about 5-10 times a day between 2 and 7806 but nothing higher, speedtests say max 3.6mb/s.
ive escalated to my isp but i have a sneaky suspition that afrihost have requested telkom to manage and change my line speed as telkom are saying there's no issue on their side even tho i have sent them screenshots showing there is. same router as always but ive tested a dif one and still same issue no line issue either.

any idea's would be greatly appreciated. number: 021 715xxxx bergvliet exchange: http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/WBVT

Mmm, old thread.

Just got of the phone with Telkom, there is currently an outage on the Pretoria CBD exchange affecting certain DSL lines, but all lines are degraded currently.

ADSL Issues on my line since 1 Aug

Hi

I am hoping someon can get me a quick resolution to my problem. I have logged a fault 23CRK010815 , i have had a technician come out numerous times to my premises without any resolution. My neighbour is also experiencing drastic reduced speeds.

currently on my 4mb line my router is syncing at half the speed. Connection is intermitten and keeps dropping. At first the technician advised i could have a faulty router, i tested with another spare router and got the same speeds. I also advise him his welcome to bring me another router to test to prove my point. Im not willing to spend on another router (like i did in the past) only to find out its not a router fault. Without conclusive evidence this would not make sense. My SNR and attenuation rates seem to be within acceptable parameters, however my line continues to sync well below the require 4096 kbs, dropping connectivity often few times a day. I called telkom and they also confirmed my line wasnt syncing at the right speeds. They reset ports ,checked port settings , all made no difference.

I was told there a problem with wiring at the Junction box ..however nothing seems to be done , and this is still a huge cause of concern. The technician assured me he kept raising the concern , and escalated it but no one seems to be prioritising this from Telkom's side.

Please advise on a prompt resolution to my issue.

thanks
V

The whole of Troyeville and New Doornfontein are out. No phones, and no adsl since yesterday morning.

No one is rushing to repair this either.. :(

Telkom Area Code? Do you have a fault logged?

Issues in the Lichtenburg and Kieserville area for a few weeks now Telkom says it's a network core problem and they are looking in to it but it's been weeks since I had a decent connection

trying to do a tracert test with windows 10 and i keep getting the following answer, what am i doing wrong?

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10586]

C:\Users\John>C:\tracert telkom.co.za
'C:\tracert' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

On mobile but Google how to run a tracert and you'll spot the error. If you've removed the C:\ from the command you can't get the exact same error...
