Also looking to move. Not sure where or to what yet. Seems like alot of people are struggling with their ISPs. It cna also be a case of you only hear about those that have issues.

I am already with Afrihost for the past 2months and im loving it. Just been avoiding cancellation call but it had to be done. Just cancelled my TI uncapped account and will be closed on the 8th of june.

What product are you using? When I see the AH top 10 performers, it always looks encouraging as I know for a fact I won't make those type of numbers.
 
I had a new 2mb line for 2 weeks now, first week had great pings and fiull speed, I downloaded about 100GB, mostly steam then my line slowed down, thought I was throttled, but if I switch to another ISP, still painfully slow, max speed 0.4mb.

same here, managing my account with afrihost is effortless.

Currently have the 60Gig account for R129 starting me off as i have not used more than 30gigs in a month on my TI account for the past 2months.

I to am moving to Afrihost today :). Can't wait to be rid of all the problems surrounding TI's crappy service. Perhaps,now i can actually open a webpage without becoming wrinkled from oldage and blind from prolonged staring at my screen while waiting for it to load :D.

I tested the incredible connection R99, 2Mbps uncapped account that wingnut771 gave me. Thus far is performs better than my Telkom 4Mbps uncapped account.


I watched vevo for about 2 hours. It played perfectly and the quality was better than my 4Mbps. Hulu also worked without buffering and the quality was better.
 
Touchwood I'm doing OK on TI, Difficult to give an accurate usage Downloads alone come to about 300+gigs a month. (i do about 10gigs every night)
Netflix most of the time no problems, though my Daughter says in the afternoon it buffers a bit (not sure if her player or ISP fault)

Considering the same one.
Already have Afrihost Mobile on two devices and the 1GB ADSL test account - all work great and the account and billing management process is lightyears ahead of Telkom. One actually has control.

For some reason, my AH double anytime data promotion options have disappeared from ClientZone since last month.
Anyone else experience this? Did I miss some announcement?

BTW - does anyone have the URL to the similar Afrihost forum on MyBB? Want to check it out before I take on the Telkom cancellations beast.

Double data is still applied.
 
Just came home to no internet. Afrihost free 1GB account saved the evening once again :)

Cancelling my TI account tomorrow and signing up with Afrihost.
 
I'm downloading a League of Legends patch while watching a YouTube video at 720p. Miraculous. I'll post an update in an hour or so as to whether or not the speeds stay.
 
Logged into TI account for the first time in a few days, just had to check it out. Had so much laughs. The only thing that opened properly was my router admin page, which I used promptly when I switched back to one of my other, more reliable providers.
 
Okay that was like a 30 minute burst of speed I think. YouTube is better, though international streaming still somewhere in the gutters (though MUCH better than it was earlier today)

First night this week I've been able to open a website in the evening. Albeit freaking slowly.....
 
NZB flying at 200 kilobytes per second today. Pity its too little too late.
 
Something changed, i haven't felt pages open this quick since a very long time ago :D



Just to clarify, am talking about international pages too.
