I am unable to access the Norton website nor am I able to update my Norton 360 product.

If I change to my backup Afrihost account I can access the site fine and update without an issue.
I have tried using the Google DNS but it made no difference.
This is the website in question: http://za.norton.com/
I eventually just get this on Google chrome: Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

I emailed technical support this morning but haven't got a reply yet.

I had bits and pieces of different invoices on my most recent one. I'm still trying to make sense of it They're clearly using primates in their billing department.

Its a pro-rata thing as per telkom direct store, you pay month inadvance. not like dstv where you pay the beginning of the month for that month.

And ranger will give you the same answer there...

hellopeter depresses me, so I don't go there, people whose job it is can read about all the Telkom service delivery failures I can't do anything about.

Hmm, I can't easily test what users in the Cape see, but the configuration is similar to what we have up north (well, actually, it has a slightly simpler setup), and I can get to the site from Gauteng.

You should have received an autoreply with a ticket number. Please PM me the ticket number, then I can get someone to test from the Cape on Monday via official channels.

Mine picked up late last night, died again the morning, and now it's changing between full line speed at 0 every few minutes.

Ranger, I'll pm you when I get to a PC.

I can't see how this is possible, except if you have something congesting your uplink. We have the same capacity up and down, and obviously (due to the A part in ADSL), the uplink has much less utilisation ...

But, if you PM me your username I will try and take a look at what we see on our side ....

I'm back to bytes a second... yippie.

Funny thing is, everything keeps timing out, and my bandwidth monitor says I've done 6.6 GB today, so I've basically done 6.6GB of nothing because everything keeps resetting. I have the same download list I've had since Friday.

This is frustrating... can't stream internet radio, let alone youtube.

EDIT: Just checked the logs, tried 10 different internet radio stations via Squeezebox, all 10 can't connect, I think Telkom is actively throttling and blocking ports during the day.

Telkom Uncapped seems to be a purely browsing (excluding streaming) product now.

In Westville, Durban

News Server is dead. Can't connect most of the time and when I do it's at max 30kBps.

Anyone else still struggling with this?
