Tried to cancel my debit order and was told that it was mandatory, is this true?
If you have a contract with a "freebie" of some sort (laptop etc) a debit order is mandatory until the end of the contract, you can opt for early settlement.

I see my router has 196.43.54.190 and 196.43.38.190 but I can't remember if I specified those and why. I'm in Bloem

We made some changes in the past half hour. I will try and look at any issues reported that still remain after 08h45 today (1 Feb 2014).

Thanks for the heads up. Do you know if all of the additional international capacity has been installed?

Um ranger, not sure what those "changes" were and if they affected me in Kzn but I'm only uploading at 25KB/s this AM and 200KB/s down on a 4MB line, still syncing full speed tho....

200KB/s on a 10MB account seems the new norm for Telkom, unless you want to use your account between 12am and 8am

This is news to me, I've only had this issue today after almost a year?

I downloaded new firmware for my router from www.tp-link.co.za ... it is a ~7mb file, and I downloaded @ 7kb/sec ... on my 10MB account..... OMG

Hi Telkom and everyone.
My nick is RoMark and I'm from Kirkwood and I used to have a 4Mbps line.
Now I only get 2Mbps download and 152kbps upload.

I'm a shamed to say I'm still an ISSUE and are spending a R1000.00 a month to be an issue.

With the help of Ranger, I'm hoping to kick this habit soon.

Now they finally call me to cancel, and go on about the bs policy of 30-days notice. Yet, they've been ignoring me since the beginning of January.

You do not get any lower than these scum. Trying to hold me hostage for another month for a service they can't provide. If they do not cancel on Monday, I will start phoning the consumer commission, and at the end of the month, go to small claims court.

Does downloading from the SAIX news server count towards making you a power user? What about downloading from other local servers?

I used to assume not because I had usenet running all the time and the tracker didn't seem to climb that fast, but some confirmation would go a long way to helping me optimise how I use my connection.
