Getting the same ping here, Milnerton.
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
So Telkom has a network freeze.
Telkom is not my ISP.
TI is my ISP.
Local downloads are flying, but 10kb/s from international servers.
Try your speed test to JHB or DBN...I've been using my Afrihost account since the TI service levels dropped off a cliff a week ago.
Thought I might see the status now on Sunday to ascertain improvements ... seems lol'worthy.
535ms ping from PE to SAIX CPT and less than 0.46Mbps on a 10 meg line.
LOL TI. Seems like more than just link failure. Your network is bust.
Do we get a refund for this non existent product, because the above doesn't remotely qualify as "best effort".
Hi Afrihost. I'm back.
You wrong, I am on a capped account and it runs identical to the uncapped accounts. Its no better at all.
Try your speed test to JHB or DBN...
Looks like CT is the problem. Point your DNS to JHB or DBN.

Try these:Can you give us the DBN & JHB dns addresses or point me in the direction to obtain them.
This morning pings were fine and now they are porked again. It definally looks like a load issue on Telkoms parts. I guss someone at telkom is going to have to purchase more bandwidth or start saying good buy to all the people they milked off Mweb.
