My torrents have actually been performing better this morning than most others. Close to 200kbs on a 2mb line. In Bloem

Mornings are always good, but wait as the big customers up demand just after 8am, by about 9am things just go wrong.

If you read what Telkom Internet stated in their press release, they have received the extra capacity as of January 22
“Telkom Wholesale delivered the additional international bandwidth on 22 January 2014 within their Service Level Agreement for the order,” Telkom said.

So as there has been no improvement one has to say Telkom Internet is unable to deliver. They have made no direct statement that they are fixing the problem other than this and this has not worked.
They have a few more days before I cancel to get their act together but I will not go into February as a TI customer unless they say something concrete about what they plan to do.
Only a fool would stay with them for over a month listening to one lie after another.
Tick Tock

I am all of the above.

Played BF3 on Saturday on XBL.
Downloaded Tomb Raider via XBL, 6.7gb download finished fairly fast in under 4 hours.
Played ARMA 2 online yesterday on PC.

Streamed via hulu all wknd.

Downloaded some nzb files yesterday at full line speed.

Then I'm stumped - I give up :D

Tested mine last night for the first time the weekend. Streaming struggled a but for the first min or 2 then was fine. Managed to play Bf4 for a bit. Also managed to get in the 200ms to EU servers. Lets hope it stays good.
Will test properly tonight :P

I want to change my nick to yours^^^. aka Unhappy Telkomuser.

I'm happy for the guys in PE that seems to get a proper service.
However I'm 80km from PE and are definitely not receiving that service level.

My gaming experience is pathetic on PlayStation.
I've posted my Speedtest yesterday where I got 771kbps download on a 4meg line and a ping of >500ms.

I don't do the streaming thing, so I can't say anything other than it probably won't work on 771kbps.
At times the speed is better, but haven't seen anything more than 240k/B/s download in almost a month.

I tried to download a file 650MB file from PS on Saturday and eventually got it done after 8 attempts.

DC Universe had a 2.2GB update on Friday.
Indicated download time was 11 hours for 2GB and that failed numerous times and took much longer. Luckily that game as a resume function on downloads and I did not had to start for the beginning every time.

Really? Im not sure regarding TI's network, if they do use Cape Town then im lost.
Ranger has always said PE is routed via Cape Town, my current TI auto assigned DNS:
Code:
06:53:46	pppd[4238]	secondary DNS address 196.43.38.190
06:53:46	pppd[4238]	primary DNS address 196.43.54.190

... wouldn't say torrents were perfect over the weekend but they averaged about 2Mbps.

4Mbps line

Note my line was always A or B+ for local.

If this latency results could translate it would be excellent, but it doesn't, or it did not over the weekend.

Once again graded -D. Normally it would be C or sometimes B.

In both instances speeds are low 2mbps.
Does that mean I'm being throttled to about 2.3 - 2.5 Mbps?

Very strange then.
