Yip. It literally takes minutes to load a thread. This company is beyond pathetic.

And once again,they haven't called when they were meant too.

+1 I have no issues on other sites/forums I visit so the problem seems to be with MyBB and their providers.

I suspect your problem is CT related, I go via JHB and this is what I get,

Can't remember the last time I had such a good ping to the UK!

Getting a 500ms ping with 0.34 down to a local server on a 2meg line. Sigh, back to these horrible speeds again. Everything I've tried struggles to load. International or local. I'm located in PE.

Anyone have the DNS server IP for JHB, so that I can use that instead of CTP. I remember that last time, changing helped a lot.
 
International download speed is very erratic. My download manager is making little mountains.

Edit: more like a kid playing with the tap turning the water on and off

Thread is quiet today so I take it everyone's happy?

I'm extremely happy with performance but still feeling my way when it comes to just how much I can download. I don't think my downloading habits are excessive (only moderately high) but the usage tracker jumps up rather alarmingly whenever circumstances require me to get something during the day.

By the way, I got confirmation from TelkomZA that data of ANY kind counts towards your usage. So there's no difference between downloads from the SAIX usenet server and something overseas.

That makes sense as all data, local or int, has to go through the IPC, which is the main cost of the connection anyway.
