EDIT: Apparently the wife postponed the update, without telling me. Anyway to force it to check again? or am I forced to wait?

Guys if you need support please contact support@nology.co.za I think they are the guys carrying out support. I found it out on Telkoms FAQ.

"If your box started with the process but did not complete it, I suggest emailing the Nology Help Desk on support@nology.co.za for assistance. Also note that enough space needs to be made available on internal storage for the firmware image to download – the question of “how much space is needed” is largely irrelevant since the process will factory reset the box anyway, so no use to keeping anything on there really.”

MY experience so far on the A06 updates on both boxes i have

1. Annoying update process, having to pull the plug out a few times.
2. Plex still doenst work properly, there is still the exact same audio and audio sync issues from before. If i use Kodi with plex add on, there is a new bug. The navigation buttons freeze and have to revert to the very annoying pointer.
3. The device switches itself off even though i set it to never sleep. Same bug as in previous version

Overall its really crap if im honest, gonna throw both in the bin and try Xiaomi perhaps. I really expected more, instead i got less and more bugs

My A06 . Started to update but failed. How do I get it to try again?

Same here - started updating but got little the android falling over with a red X over it ... Did a factory reset - got the update notification again and got the falling over android again - really disappointing ...

My a06 update went mostly smooth. It got stuck on logo after first update. Pulled power plug, after that it went fine.

Only annoying thing now is, that play and pause buttons on harmony remote doesn't work.

How much free space is needed for the update? Just want to check before I run into problems.

a06 updated with no issues

i walked in and it had frozen on the telkom lit screen. now i don't know if it would have continued if i had left to get on with it.

but i decided to pull the power out. the install pop-up appeared again and it went all the way to the finish line.

I had the same thing happen. Was hoping my impatience in not waiting for the telkom lit screen to go away after the first update wouldn't bite me in the ass. It didn't and one pulled plug later all went fine.

Sounds a bit extreme? Rather contact nology and sort it out? if you look at a few other posts here it looks like nology service is good. The A06 update shouldn't function any different to the newer boxes. My A11 works the same as my Mi Box now.

I thought throwing them in the bin a bit extreme maybe. I don't think plex and Kodi work any differently on mi box, but I could be wrong.

Are you running Netflix on your updated box? Any issues?

My B05 box is updated properly, unable to stream Netflix since the update.

Netflix working perfectly, same with DSTV Now and Showmax.

Throwing two devices of total value of +- R3K in the bin because of a few bugs can be classified as extreme. Or maybe just a case of total drama queen...

Someone mentioned earlier they couldn't get 5.1 working in Kodi. Cant find the post now, but I did get mine working the first time.

1. Expert settings
2. Select as having 2 speakers
3. enabled DD5.1 but disable DTS 5.1 and again make sure you didnt select as having more than 2 speakers, else transcoding wont appear
4. enable transcoding

Could it not be your network? Running Plex over local and via remote to my parents server and no dips on audio regarding syncing.

you can pass them onto me, I will find some uses for them

Its fine on my smartphone when streaming. Something just aint right with the A06 i guess. And the update made it worse
