Netflix: Log into your account - Netflix site on a browser - and then choose the video quality.
YouTube: You will have to toggle each video separately methinks - at the bottom of each video you can toggle the quality/resolution.

What sideloaded version of Netflix does currently work on LIT. App and OS up to date but getting an error 13 when trying to open the app.

Why do you want sideloaded?

It's a Netflix approved device, so there is no need for any of that. Unless somehow you have an old box that somehow skipped the upgrade? You're on Android TV 8?

Then I'd chat to Nology

Considering the wisdom of buying another, seeing as there are already 2x LIT boxes and a Mi-Box in the house ...

I have 3 Lit boxes!! One in lounge, bedroom and kid's room. We love our Lit boxes.
I recently started playing around with Retroarch PS1 emulated games. Soon... once I have configured Retroarch properly these boxes will also be game stations.

So far only basic (default) setup. Using an Xbox 360 wireless controller which methinks is the biggest problem as these controllers are not properly supported by Android and Android TV. I want to get a Bluetooth controller or XB360 wired controller soon.

So far these games tested plays perfectly:
Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat 4
Crash Bandicoot
Tomb Raider 1

But this is at original crappy resolution and 4:3 ratio. I still want to tinker and improve res and change to 16:9 but for some reason the controller don't allow me to change menu options when a rom is loaded.

Very interesting.
Never knew this could be done with these TV boxes

Just considering the effect it will have on my internet bandwidth ...
If it is of any consolation I run the 2 list many nights/days at the same time and there are phones etc also connecting because if you know kids EVERYTHING must be on. Long story short I have a 5mb/s wireless connection. Yeah it is very stable and constant but they work perfectly no issues.
