Was it green or bright blue? Your speedtest has no aspect of LTE at all.

Well, I'm not sure what to make of this. Without a doubt it proves that TM LTE has been fixed on the tower that is radiating the service. It also proves without a doubt the coverage maps are WRONG as I've mentioned several times.

This is with a my old B593, with 5 bars signal and using 2 little paddle antennas that were included with my new B593.

Huawei E3276 - 8.58MB Down, 0.19MB Up

To be fair, I had to hack my modem onto "4G Only" since I only get 1 bar of signal (Going to buy an antenna soon)

Preferred Mode is disabled by default - I had to edit the HTML to set it to 4G Only (WHY....)

Hmm, certainly not a bad download but the upload leaves a lot to be desired. Besides the ping, there is no LTE in that result. How many bars 3G do you get? And what speeds?

I get 1 bar of 3G, and +- 1MB speeds (Faster than EDGE, but terrible for 3G). My current location is horrendous for signal at best (My room-mate has the Afrihost modem hanging from the shower-curtain rail to get signal, and I have my modem attached to a USB cord hanging from the inside burgler-bars on the window), so, in comparison, this is phenomenal ;D

Whilst I'm fully aware that this is miles away from your average LTE speed, I'm also aware that I barely fall in the LTE coverage map (Have you ever done a speed-test in an area with barely a bar of LTE signal?), and my area generally has terrible signal all-round (3G speed dropped 80% when I moved here, but I didn't have much choice in the matter - I plan to move out in December).

It's stable, and gives me awesome download speeds (Faster than ADSL, at least - Which is great when you can't get a phone-line :P), so I'm happy :)

That is a great comparison. The worth of LTE is self explanatory.
 
For R399pm you only get 10GB data.

I've slowed right down on my Speedtests since there's not much to prove anymore. I've had a lot of "average" results hovering around 10-15Mbps.

Here's a decent result tonight:

I posted the above earlier but right now TM LTE kinda feels faster than MTN LTE. :p

Upload speed is 1/3 that of MTN though. (~5Mbps vs 15Mbps)

but also the E392 is best for Telkom Mobile LTE, getting 28Mbps download. They sell for R750 on bidorbuy.
 
Could no longer stand congested exchanges and staring at an empty slab where an msan is supposed to be.

Just signed up for a 50Gb package with a 593 LTE modem (R1299 pm). TM came to do a test and I get 14Mbps download with 1-2 bars.

How much does the external antenna cost you guys? And is it worth it...looks like it does not necessarily increase speed. I am quite happy with >10. I am bit concerned about the 2.5yr commitment to this though.
