I'm new here so don't caplock me if i make an error, I called telkom on Sunday and did a port reset but it didn't improve my speed to 4mbps so I called them yesterday and a lady was willing to assist me on my upgrade but she noticed that my exchange wasn't ready so she told me to hang on. She also did say that people that called in and got upgraded, their upgrade were going to get upgraded sooner , so I reckon whoever got upgraded should post their location so we'll know that the exchange in that location is actually ready and we can phone and bug them until we get our way :D

Yes you can but it will cost you. :(

Well, can I get that number please? I have like R500 airtime sitting on my phone so I don't mind paying.

Thanks

EDIT = never mind, I dailed 10210 and it went through, never used to work before.

Called telkom yesterday at 5pm and they reset my port. Syncing at 4mb now. Speedtest gives me results from 1.3mbs to 3.3 mbs

No idea how this even works or Telkom is just silly, as i called them 3 times and they kept telling me port reset won't do anything, so i basicly just told them, then please put me on the 4MB profile and they did.

I asked for a port reset as well as a bump in speed. Seemed to work

They told me if they do that now, they will charge me the currrent 4mb cost.

I'm durban and yes I've checked the adsl checker, it's been showing 4mbps from Sunday but they refuses to upgrade me when I call and even a port reset didn't do much, it's either our technicians in durban are sleeping or they upgrading the locations thats most busy. What's sad is I'm on a telkom bundle. We supposed to get priority service. I think I'll call them again and bug them:p

Same thing with me I am also on the Telkom bundle and I see Telkom vans everywhere upgrading umc/dslams down the road from me yet they neglect my umc box with every upgrade that gets announced which is very irritating seeing people getting 6 megs+ down the road from me and adsl 2+ while I am stuck on 4 meg and G.dmt on same exchange :(.

Tried asking TelkomZA but he does nothing about it same with the Network planner and 10210.

Well I'm still on 2Mb but I suspect it's because they're still busy upgrading the exchange in my area. Looks like the frantic-work-pace has died down and they're now down the the really technical stuff. I see no more laying of fibre - just Telkom techs at the MSANS...

You should be grateful that you have 4mb unlike some who cant even get more than 2mb
