Telkom Speed upgrades

Im in the same situation, TelkomZA keeps ignoring me. After they told me they would help.

Its been 3 days, and its not that they are not actove on twitter.

Even a go to Hell msg from them would be enough.

Getting really frustrated.:banghead:

I'm assuming two of the three days are Sat/Sun? Give them some time and they'll get back to you. TelkomZA rep on mybb was always quite quick in responding to my PMs (only did that twice though). Never tweeted them so can't say how quick they respond to that.
 
I imagine the poor oke is inundated. You're hopefully in some queue where your request will be dealt with in due course.

Mine took 3 work days to get sorted.

Good luck and enjoy the upgrade when you get it :)

:D yes it does include sat/sun.
But there are people thats send msg after me that gets feedback ect. Even on sat and sundays.

Thats the only thing that upsets me.

:D will give them a break for a few days and see what happens.

The upgrades has been completed already

If you were on a 2 meg prior to the upgrades you would of been upgraded, the final date was after after you had downgraded.

You will need to upgrade to 4 megs to equal your ISP account.


SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME! My neighbours can pay the price for the faster product and enjoy 4Mbit while I have to pay the price for the fastest product in order to get the same speed???

Make sure they put you on the faster product. I also downgraded my 4Meg line to 2Meg but they put me on the Fast package and I was stuck on 2meg. I called back and changed it to the Faster package and I'm now back on 4Mbps for R299.

I have a slight suspicion that TelkomZA might be sorting out his/her queries alphabetically :whistle: maybe you'll get on top of the list if you get a new username as "_Stormer12" ;)

Can someone help me here. I currently have a 2 meg line with openweb. How do I know if my line has been upgraded to 4 meg? I went to the ADSL Checker, and entered my tel nr. This is my result::

Maximum speed available in your area 1 Mbps
Your Current Service speed 4 Mbps
To enjoy a faster surfing experience you can upgrade your connection.

1. Openweb doesn't do lines.
2. Read the message. Specifically the part I bolded.
3. Log on to your router to see what speed you're syncing at.
4. If you're syncing at 2meg call Telkom and ask them to upgrade you.
5. If you're on 4meg contact Openweb to upgrade your data to 4meg too.

Hi there
My router sync at 2meg. Can I then phone telkom to go 4meg you think. Or will they do this automactically (telkom)with the upgrades they busy with?

I have now been holding 55minutes on 10210... im about to go throw a brick through the local exchange that is just down the road... no fken jokes!

This is what im talking about. There is NO Queue system.

This person made a request 6 hours ago and was bumped up after one hour:mad::mad:

Service really sux eiers

Got a pm from TelkomZA this morning. Mybroadband side. Got bumped up to 2megs. Profile reset.

This is my line stats

Im syncing at 2meg now, even tho telkom dsl checker says that the max speed in my area is 1meg

Can anyone help me with current ADSL line prices?

Seems difficult to find with all the bundle deals.
