Telkom system failure

Telkom has informed its subscribers that a system failure is causing service delivery problems.

“We are currently experiencing service issues due to a system failure and are working hard to have the issue resolved as soon as possible,” the company said on Friday morning.
 
Yeah, been unable to do a scrap of work this morning as my dbase connectivity has gone for a loop.
Not that I'm complaining too loudly.

I think this is an old article. The service delivery problems started a few decades ago, and they seem to still be working on fixing it.
 
What is a "system"?

This really sounds like the receptionist telling customers they cannot be assisted because some component of the business is not functioning. "Systems" can be machines, networks, protocols, institutional arrangements etc. etc.

Their entire bloody service platform is dead. Website and all.

Their back end service systems are probably down too.
 
No Fibre connection since Thursday... Can't even log a fault or contact someone [MENTION=258937]TelkomZA[/MENTION]
 
One thing I can't understand is why Telkom ISP is bad some nights and then perfect other nights, still no response from TelkomZA. This has been like this for months and Axxess works fine so it's not the exchange or Fibre line.
 
ADSL was unusable last night. Restarting and Google DNS was terrible. So switching off router for 20 minutes solved my issues.
