I still say quality uncapped is better than cheap uncapped.

My my, looks like the tides have turned, Telkom Internet is actually leading with better pricing(new uncapped prices) and innovation(soft capping) and other ISP's have to follow. MWEB certainly now has to make an adjustment to their pricing, having pioneered uncapped in SA, they are now the most expensive uncapped provider. MWEB 4Mb is still the same price as when it was launched back in 2010.

Kinda unfair to reduce prices by so much when telkom's IPC would be much lower than other ISPs

I still say quality uncapped is better than cheap uncapped.

It all comes down to demographics. The network with the most low bandwidth users will be able to offer the best speeds at the best price point. Telkom have many many grandmas on their books.

They have to? Telkom asks Telkom Internet for IPC costs :p wonder where that money goes...

Different divisions. They have to play by the same IPC rules otherwise ISP's would open a can of legal whipass.

"Afrihost CEO Gian Visser said that their current prices are “already in line with or better than Telkom’s new prices (and have been at these levels since May last year)”."

Not on your 2mb offering!

Why interview the Cybersmart guy in every article. You must be CyberDom to sign up with them. They the NO VALUE end of the market.

Why? Their prices appear competitive and they do offer bundles? I put them on my watch list.

Telkom does something good and most people slam them. wtf wrong with most of you????

Suppose it's just down to the usual negative outlook most South Africans have on the mostly corrupt companies here in Our Beloved Country. And I do wonder what the hidden agenda is :p

But this can only be good, cheaper prices are always a good thing! MWEB, don't disappoint!
