Having the SAME issue! Call logged, not attended to in over 2 weeks, call closed. Escalated online MULTIPLE times, no response. Can't get through to call center after being on hold for 30 min on my CELL PHONE!!!!! SHOCKING SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Just received an 'on holiday' notice from TelkomZA. Maybe someone is standing in for him?

I don't know the motive behind closing the faults. Perhaps it adds to their resolution tally.
 
Been on hold for 30min....for the second time.

That's 1 hour of just waiting for someone to assist. Unbelievable. More proof that Telkom gives 0 f---s about customer service. Bring on LLU. Once customers have a choice, goodbye Telkom.
 
Does anything come of issues sent by pm?

Just wondering because I don't see any "resolvements" at a quick glance.
 
My Telkom voice and data line has been completely down for a week now and no has called me back after 3 escalations via the website and a call logged on Monday. tried calling 10210 and held on for 30min without my call being answered.

Is anyone at Telkom dealing with line faults? Line has been out for almost a week now??

Where are you guys located?

Last week I was browsing and suddenly line drops. Both my phone and ADSL line is down.
I'm in Door de Kraal, Bellville

Telkom called me this morning to ask about my fault..
Hope its resolved soon, line has been down since the 7th
 
It normally does get resolved via PM.

Just, doesnt look like Charl is back from holiday's yet. Got a response from Gerrard (I think he is standing in) but has not resolved my problem yet.
 
Getting major lag on DOTA 2 local servers, average normally ~150ms but today its ~250ms - 500ms

When last did you play? That recent random 5MB patch has given a LOT of people connection issues worldwide. Asking cause it only seemed to start after Saturday.
 
So my adsl is giving issues again today.
Everything is green on my modem, but I get "No Internet Access" on my pc. Had the same problem last week.

I resent the same PM as last week ro Telkomza.

"Telkom ADSL 012991**** (ref 3CTK010115) restored.
Reply to this SMS within 24 hours with NO if service is still faulty else with YES"

How many times has the same happened and it still doesn't work????
 
4 times in my case since December I am actually looking at alternatives now
 
ADSL Dropouts

Hi TelkomZA

I first logged an fault with the call centre on 8 December 2014 after the line stopped connecting. On the 13th, a technician came and restored the connection. He said he changed the DSLAM port. Since then, the line has been erratically disconnecting.

Upon further investigation, I found that the SNR keeps dropping, sometimes into the negative, then the line drops and keeps dropping until it settles at around 1 Mbps. This usually happens when the line syncs at higher speeds - I'm on a 4 meg line.

A tech came on the 9th of January 2015, but at that time, the line was syncing at full speed at the SNR was around 15. Soon after he left, it started misbehaving again.

I've posted two pics of the line from my modem stats taken today. You'll notice the uptime of the connection is over 9 hours - this is the most we've had since 13th December.

I've called the call centre, had multiple escalations, two tech visits, even written to HelloPeter and tweet to the @TelkomZA account on Twitter almost daily. I've tried the line with a filter on, without (directly plugged into the line), tried two different filters, had the call centre people reset the port, had the people at my ISP (Afrihost) reset the port, I've spoken to your escalations, assurance and testing departments (I don't count the call centre calls, because all they do is log calls or transfer me) and yet, I still have this problem. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. I have an online business and suffice to say, this is making things difficult for me, as I need a fast, reliable connection - which is why I'm on the 4 meg line.

I'm at my wits' end. I'm hoping you can provide some insight on how this problem can be fixed. What information should I gather, or how can I help solve this?

Update:-
At about 5:15 pm my adsl came back on.

Hope it stays on longer than usual but thanks guys.
 
My line has been resyncing on and off while the wind is blowing today, but now the Isp wont work at all.

Finally connected again hope it stays that way.

Eh spoke too soon it has gone off and wont sync

Fault Reference number is 8BWK100115. Been Trying to get my adsl line to work since friday as had a Technician out to install and activate the adsl as we moved home to a new adress order number was 111131935.

The technician was there did his thing and the adsl synced for a total of 45 minutes and went down.

Been struggling to get someone just to respond and give m a update since then. I need a technician out to sort this out please.

So been down since 28th...

Phone them and you just get this call centre is experiencing high call volumes. Eventually sms'd them service <number>. Did not get a response, eventually went to The Glen over the wknd and reported problem, after they said there is no call logged.

Then got a email saying my call has been escalated.

Eventually yesterday got through after about 5 calls and holding for 30min avg, was told the call was handed over to a technician yesterday morning... and I'm still waiting...

Anyone know anyone at Telkom that can help... I work majoritly from home and this is killing me/3G bill is sky high.

ADSL line fault ref 77BNK080115 was logged and closed - without anyone actually fixing the line that your technician admitted was a problem

Fault is now relogged 3BNK140115- staus open.

If I am not mistaken - the idea is as follows - 1. log a fault 2. FIX the fault 3. Close the job?
