i have just upgraded my line from a 4 mbps to 10 mbps.when i do a speed test the maximum download speed i get is 4.7mbps.is this normal

No

Expect around 8.5mbps on a capped account.

Speed on an uncapped account is determined by the account itself usually marketed in 1, 2, 4 & 10mbps flavours (still around 8.5mbps on 10mbps uncapped).

I'm quite suprised by Telkom's soft cap for the 2mb line. I've done around 155GB and I'm still not throttled.
 
It's disconnected at the blue box.

Still waiting for our issue to be sorted out :( ... Logged an online fault and @TelkomZA logged one but still no luck. Was told on the SMS the issue will be resolved / attended to in 4 days, however have not heard anything since last week.
 
I've been struggling with a high ping towards my exchange for two months now, i've logged 2 faults, 2 hellopeters and NOTHING.

not even a hint of a techie sent to have a look :wtf:

@telkomza very disappointed and let down by telkom mobile and their customer service today. Do you have someone I can contact to escalate if my port doesn't come through by tomorrow morning?
 
So yesterday, after a long struggle a technician finally comes to my house, without warning i might ad, had to leave work in a rush at about 13:15.

I get home, he does a few things, tells me to check if it's fine now, problem still excists and at around 14:30, he says "I know what i've got to do"

I'm still waiting for him to come back :whistle:

HI,

I've been struggling to get a line ordered. I filled in the web form 5 times, but never received a response at all.
I then went into the Telkom store at Nicolway on Tuesday 26 May and filled in the forms there, but I am still waiting for a ref number.
Is there any way to find out why this is all taking so long?

Sent a PM, my Line's not syncing since yesterday. Modem says its "Unconfigured" Please can a technician assist urgently, the last time i had this issue, it took 3 weeks to resolve, i cant have the same this time around.

Ouch...I know that trick of theirs all too well, happened to me a few times!
 
Hi guys, i have registered online and want to pay via credit card, but my invoices are not showing online.

now just to get atleast 4mb line but im limited to 2mb in my area but atleast im on :)
