I've always used Teracopy on XP and love it.

I've installed it on Win7 and have a problem when I try and copy files to my USB drive - keep getting access denied

I think its got to do with when I normally right click a file and send to my USB drive I get the admin security window thing popping and I have to click ok. Teracopy seems to fall over when this happens

Anyone else having the same problem - any way around it?

Mine works 100% and I send files to my flash drive all the time. Using TeraCopy 2.01

I dont use it on windows 7 ...no morree:DIts a pain,rather look for a 64 bit version somewhere:D

Looks like a bug - loads of complaints on the teracopy forum.

Looks like its time to find a replacement until it can get fixed :(

gave up on teracopy on windows 7, it would cause blue screens and randomly freeze mid copy, so now i just use total commander for heavy duty transfers.

I don't like Teracopy, I could never get it to do simultaneous transfers like Windows does. It waits until the first transfer is complete to start the second one. I have six hard drives and often move stuff between different drives at the same time. It's a pain to wait for Teracopy to do them one at a time.

+1, I used to use Total Copy.

it groups the copies if they are coming from the same pc to the same pc, visa versa will allow you to split it. But you are right, it seems to group all the time and if you have multiple drivers, it can be annoying. Im sure tho there must be some way of disabling that..

I've been using TeraCopy for years and have never had a grouping problem unless the source of files has been from the same hdd.

If I copy from a different hdd than what it's currently transferring from, another window pops up and waits for the current transfer to finish but you can click 'Start Now'. It's the greatest program ever.

+1. No problems here either- as for concurrency, just hit Start Now

I love the auto queue- reduces thrashing which in turn increases speed. I can enqueue as many transfers as I want.

Have noticed that over a gigabit network, the cpu usage skyrockets when doing large transfers (both PCs). Think that'd be the same with all programs however. Seems to be less with Teracopy than Total Commander.
