For the first time in 4 years of having dsl. My entire bill, line rentals plus data and voice accounts came up to ....

R897

If you don't believe here is the breakdown:

Analogue line rental R132.15
Evening W/ender plan R32.00
Usage+ vat R 35.85

Bundled 4meg line and 4meg ucapped data R697

Now if only we could get Iptv.

:) I couldn't be happier.

I'm also saving a lot now, almost cut my data price in half of what it was. Thanks Afrihost. Only shame is that Telkom still rapes us.

Awesome guys, thanks for the great feedback!! Great to hear the product is making such a positive difference. Once we change networks, I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to offer even better quality products and service, for less.

Looking forward to that!!! Hope the Latency will also be improved :)

Hey Afriman,

Is there a specific date marked down in someones calender for the move to the new network?
Or will this be done over a specific period?

Wow, I just checked their pricing and for an extra R97 per month I can go from Telkom Capped Do Faster to Afrihost Uncapped on 2MB .... this is getting tempting, very tempting.

Since I got upgraded to 2MB, my cap is not going to make it anymore.

Heh... I was on the 10Gb capped package, and when their 1Mb uncapped pricing got dropped to R197, I compared the 10Gb's R145 with the uncapped pricing of R197.

It was a no-brainer. Now I don't need to worry about my bandwidth getting depleted at the end of the month :D

We don't have a set date yet, we'll know once we've started running tests and depending on the initial outcome of those. Will be a BIG press event.
