1997 Toyota Corolla 1.8 GLE with 290 000km. If you sold your car, it would be interesting to know how much you got for it.

1998 Polo Playa 1.4i - 206000km. Not a single problem ever, except when a rock broke the waterpump on one getaway weekend! Still driving it today. Had it ever since high school, bought a flat first. Saving up to buy early next year! Going to be a sad goodbye...

'92 City Golf 250 000km on clock. Motor has done over 500 000km (5000km since last rebuild. Came out of my brothers golf 3)
2002 Range Rover 4.6HSE Vogue - 230 000km

I service my own cars every 10 000km.

3). Bosch or similar franchise

Independent mechanic, mostly, but I do stuff myself where I can.

Merc ML 270 CDI - 255000km (2002 model). Do my own services. Been through Mozambique, Kalahari and Okovange delta and towed a stuck Landy Discovery out of the sand once

94 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Limited. Sold last year with around 325,000 on the clock.

Was still going fine and able to overtake most sedans uphill when flooring it. Reason I sold it was the rattling got a bit much and the roof started leaking when it rained.

New owner is using it to tow a boat.

My grandfather has a 2003/2004 hyundai getz with 420 000 km on the clock.apparently newer engines last 3 times as long as older engines(pre 2000).not to sure about the body-work though.

Got a 2003 Corolla at about 340k, the clutch release bearing is starting to make a noise. Zero prior problems.

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla Gsi. Just clocked 290000 k's. Still going well. Have replaced alternator, radiator, two batteries. Bought it second hand in 2005 and it had 90000 k's on it already. Toyota's Rock!

1990 Jetta CSi. 22 years of happy motoring.

And the corresponding engine bay, as it looks now and looked during its entire life.




It's still in my possession and had 235k k's on the clock when last posted about. Engine is still unopened and does not need to be topped up between services. Unfortunately it doesn't get driven as much lately as I am now retired and I use the 2005 Polo more. I keep it for my daughter to travel SA when she visits us.
It's value is so low now that it's better to keep it as a spare if something happens to our other cars.

Never thought I would ever own a car that has more than 100,000km on the clock but a few days ago my 2001 Astra reached 200,000km. I know there are a few other folks here that have high mileage runners in daily use and though it would be nice to have a show and tell thread. So lets see those long distance runners

I'll start off with mine : 2001 Astra CS 1.6 16v, bought it used in 2004 with 30,000km on the clock.

Stick to 20,000kms intervals and change the cambelt every 60,000km and everything is honky dory.

The car has gone through some parts during it's lifetime but nothing exorbitant.
