Do we call skem on this? 5000km a week?

Thats 700km a day assuming its driving 7 days a week... 1000km a day if 5 days...

Thats a tank+ of petrol a day...

Thats 260k km a year.

Lets assume 10km a l its an old car after all. 26 000l of petrol at 2.64 NZD thats 68640 NZD +- R766k zar a year on petrol alone

For WHAT? I see delivering newspapers...

On top of that a 72 year old driving the car!
700km's with every 30 minutes to take a leak is a long day for any pensioner

I have a Hilux that I look after where the turbo failed at about 780k Km.
Aside from the one cylinder that swallowed the turbo bits there was surprisingly little wear on everything except for the rings and bore.

That is impressive I take it you one of those that gets the service done on time, make sure what goes into the car is of the best quality

Yes of course. Service on time, every time and good quality oil.
I am also very fussy about fixing small leaks, problems etc.

I look after three Hiluxes, delivery vehicles that get driven by everyone and his dog, and my goal (sadly only with two now) is to get them to a million without anything major.

Yeap, never understimate a good quality oil and Oil Filter, thats the only product I buy from the dealership is the oil filter esp when you have these cartridge style filters, The paper quality makes a difference for flow rate and filtering

I noticed on Liquid moly I get around 87-90 degrees on oil temp around town and about 85 on highway but when I push hard on Dynamic it goes to 102 max never seen it go past that, yet the dealer oil would get to about 107 -108 degrees.

Good luck with the hiluxes if its diesel and taken care of 1million kilometres should be achievable.

Those V8 Toyota engine in the land cruisers and those lexus version now thats also a bullet proof engine

As at this morning 300K
Nov 22 replaced V belts and Pulley
Last week rear disks and pads.

She still runs as good as the day I got her :)
