Dammit, those hanging leg raises (not knee raises) always get the best of me.

I'm still on hanging knee raises but they're one of my staple core exercises at the moment. Had a inguinal hernia a couple of years ago soon after I started exercising again. Well healed now but I'm still a bit wary with leg raises and crunches. Have a bit of an issue with hamstring and hip flexibility as well which doesn't help.

Hopefully will be able to progress onto decent full hanging leg raises in the fullness of time. One of the main things on my fitness bucket list is to be able to go from an L-Sit into a handstand. Long way to go though :-)

has been a quite few days for me.
Not looking good for the weigh-in on Monday.
Got sick from the park run in the rain and mud this past Saturday.

L-Sits...

"Aaaargh..."

That is usually how my attempts end. That and burning like hell core. Very humbling exercise. That and a proper V-Hold.
I haven't done them in a while but at one time I could manage 40 seconds on the L's.

I also started with knee raises and over the years have progressed to 4 x 16 sets of proper form stiff-legged leg raises. I do them with every core session. Still collapse into the fetal position at the end of most sets.

Rest of my core sessions include ab roller wheel, planks, cable crunches, reverse crunches and plain old situps till failure. I vary them all during my 2 weekly core sessions.

I can plank respectably at least. I've managed a 5 minute straight arm plank before (although not tried to failure for a while) but I usually just do sets to a 60 count at the end of my workout.

Do a hour of yoga with planking close to the end, that time will be halved

Everyone working hard for the weigh in!
