Yep pay out is in cash. You choose the panel beater.

thats cool, but easy way to claim alot from them as well

cause i got paid out for a fender bender and took the car to a local panel beater who did a very good job

the panel beating companies charged a schit load more

Took delivery of a 2014 2.0TDI with about 42 700km this weekend. Drove the car around in JHB a bit before the trip down to CPT at night. After fueling up at a Shell with the V-Power diesel then car suddenly lost power while accelerating and the glow plug light flashing. Pulled over, switched the car off and on again, light was off.. Drove around a bit again and didn't get the issue..

As I was leaving at night on the N1 the car suddenly lost power, glow plug was flashing again, did the same as before, pulled over, switched the car off and on again, light was off.. Drove again and it did this again but after switching it on this time around the engine light went on and stayed on. Called Audi Assist and they said if it's not giving too much problem driving I can continue driving it (as I needed to get to CPT so I can be at work on Monday) else they'll have to tow to nearest Audi and will be looked at on Monday. Decided to continue driving and made it to CPT Sunday afternoon. On the rest of the trip I noticed that it was doing this once the RPM went past 2000 and couldn't accelerate fast when I needed it to.

Anyone had a similar experience?
Just took the car to Audi now and they will have a look at it when they can, left the car with them.

My Volvo was doing this, it usually started when accelerating to overtake on a hill (around 3000rpm).

Then I had the check engine light which could stay a few days or disappear and usually cleaning the throttle was solving it.

It could be many other things though, ECU first in line.

Sorry to hear this, especially just after getting the car. Hopefully it is a minor/small fix.

So after checking my oil on the weekend and closing the bonnet, i started the engine and once putting the car into gear I got the following warning light displayed indicating 'Front right fog light'. Anyone had this kind of issue before? It's an A3 1.8T 2011 with 74,000km on the clock that just had an engine recon done like 2 weeks ago, so not sure if that's related to perhaps something being loose.

I think that means your right front fog light blew. You have to replace it.

The same happened to me when I collected my 2012 A4 last month. Actually quite funny, I was just about to drive off when this happenend. Anyway, was just something loose and the audi workshops guys fixed it in a few minutes.

So perhaps just something loose?

Quite likely something loose as it happened 1 minute after closing my bonnet (after checking my oil) and then starting the car and putting it into gear!

Are fog lights even needed? What happens if I don't replace it?

It's a simple DIY.

But before you run out and buy a new one take out the old one and put it back.

Assuming it doesn't seem obviously blown when you look at the bulb it might just be contacts.

If they are anything like on my Golf they are quite expensive. About R160 from what I remember but it was a while ago.

Cleaning the throttle?

You mean the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)?

Thanks! I see it's detailed on how to change the bulb on page 233 of my manual  Will try adjusting the old one before getting a new one.
