Animal pak is basically a vitamin supplement. Superb one as well. It will just help keep you healthy and supply you with much needed vitamins. I don't think it will help you lose weight and gain muscle, it might. I take it because i read your body need the vitamins to function 100% :D.

Only thing i have noticed is florescent pee :D.

killa how many different supplements do you take a month?

Well at the moment

Niox/plasmajet/nutrabolics whichever is left
muscle meal
casien protein for nighttime
whey protein for pre work out
N O rage / muscle marinade or shotgun for pre workout
animal pak every 3rd day followed by a glass of lemon juice.

Animal pak is nothing like berocca. It is the best multi vitamin on the market. Most multi's have tiny amount of vitamins. 11 or something like tablets later you know you have a good source of vitamins.

Out of interest, do any of you guys know your calorie intake and diet breakdown?

Started a new diet today - broken down as follows:
Calories 2500
Carbohydrates 209 g
Protein 300 g
Fats 44 g

Trying to loose weight slowly without sacrificing muscle.

whey protein for pre workout? or you mean post?

Nope i wake up 1 hour before gym and take down some whey, go back to sleep and wake up. The reason i do this is because i feel very weak if i go straight to gym without anything in my body. Whey protein digests really fast so by the time i wake up it is helping me i think. I also drink evox carbo load during my work out. If i wake up and go straight to gym without anything but a energy booster i start feeling a bit sick half way through, almost like the feeling when you get really hungry and your body shakes and feels weak. This does not happen if i take down some whey 1 hour before i leave. I am not certain training on an empty stomach for 90 minutes is a good thing. Your body needs nutrients i reckon and if you go train without giving it anything i imagine you won't get very far. Of course this is not fact just what i think. I may be wrong of course :D

I find if i have whey like an hour before and sip on a carb drink i am superman for the next 90 minutes :D. Obviously i also have whey protein post work out. I add whey isolate to muscle meal xl. Also the whey i have has bcaa's and glutamine.

This is all a bit new to me so trying different things but this appears to be working, when i started i was 63 and skinny, i am now 70kg's and not skinny :D. Also very little fat. Forgot to use that machine again to measure grrrrrr :D.

I notice alot of the people that do inject dont last long in the gym either, they'll train for about 6 months to a year and then you never see them again

This is just an assumption, and some of the juicers on here could probably enlighten, but I think its because when they stop injecting for whatever reason (financial, health), and stop seeing results as quickly they lose motivation?

I have a friend who has done about 4 cycles in the past 2 years who gets very depressed when he's not on the sauce. Its not that you don't gain when youre of cycle, it just takes a lot longer to see noticeable changes, which is depressing sice you can gain 8kg +(mostly muscle) on a good cycle in 8 weeks.

I've just come on to this thread and I have some questions on supplements.I've just started using Biogen massive and Evox pure protein. Are these good products?
Should I switch to something else when its finished?
If yes, which one would be ideal for cutting/toning?

I do the same on weekends when I train in the mornings, wake up about an hr and a half before gym, have a scoop of whey and a bowl of oats

I was just wondering how you time it, I dont take any NO/caffiene supplements before training anymore, but afaik they all mostly recommend you take it on an empty stomach, when I used to take pre workout supps I used to eat between 2 to 3 hours before training, and then shock therapy/no xplode 30 mins before

Thats the thing, the gains are incomparable, and i can imagine very frustrating, probably lose some strength along the way as well, which is even more depressing?

I do it an hour before because it digests so fast. I used to wake up at 2:30 and take a serving of mega grow which was actually good but i worry that all those carbs will turn to fat so i just stick to whey and carbo load during my work out. Generally my stomach is always empty, i can eat a huge meal for breakfast and an hour later my tummy is screaming for more :D. I would never take a pre work out on anything but a close to empty stomach :D.

Korn it looks decent but i dunno about home gym man. Too many distractions :p

BMI is 24%
Cannot recall what other one is called but it is the amount of body fat which the machine says is around 4%.

Also i must admit N O rage is far better than muscle marinade for me. Muscle marinade makes me bloated something crazy. Must be the 6 grams of mono they put in where as rage uses kre something or other.

Do you guys get bloated on creatine mono?

Kre-alkalyn creatine. PH-balanced creatine. Not sure what it does differently from other creatine though :)

Yep, I get bloated on mono, but not on ethyl ester...

May I be the ass and ask if someone knows where I can buy knee wraps? Sportsmanswharehouse, et al don't have them.

I'm approaching 150 in the squat dept and common sense reckons its time to strap up.

I'm in the JHB area btw. Anyone know of a specialist shop or somesuch?

Cheers.

Nah, don't think you need knee wraps. I also don't believe they make it "safer" to squat either, if anything they numb your sense of feeling when you're going down. They're only really good for enabling you to do extra weight IMHO.
