I have bad knees - and I manage 150kg without any extra support - so you should be fine.

Hey guys. sort of a gym noob here. I'm a student who started gym casually last year. I took USN's Creatine X4 about 3months ago. I just finished a 2KG tub of USN's muscle fuel.

Now before you flame me for using USN products (or not) i just want to let you know that i didnt know any better. Which brings me onto my question. I want to take creatine to tone and build some muscle. which brand should i use and where can i get it?

The reason why i got USN is because any ol pharmacy sells USN products

It doesn't provide support ;) It only squishes the crap out of your knees.

Yea it does not look like it would give any support haha :D.

Depends on your budget but good ol creatine monohydrate from evox should do. I am not certain creatine will you give the toned look though. It also bloats some people add in some water retention and that toned look is gone :D

You could try this

http://www.supplementworld.co.za/evox-ester-creatine-v4-120-caps-100g-l-glutamine-free.html

I wish toning and building worked together haha :D. Would save me from a double chin

Anyone here know of a good anti water retention tablet? This bloated look ain't working for me haha and all of my pre work outs have so much mono in them :(.

If you're going for monohydrate then it doesnt really matter, just make sure it says "CREAPURE" on the bottle

Muscle science/SSN should be alright

If you want something with a delivery system then consider univeral storm

I beg to differ here. I've been squatting at least once a week for the last 23 years and I always use wraps on anything from 3 wheels and up and my knees are still perfect. I reckon this becomes more important as one becomes older. I don't wrap very tight, though, on anything below seven wheels.

O i keep forgetting to ask this.

Anyways when i do biceps and sometimes a few back exercises that use my right arm it seems like there is this little ball moving around. So i do a rep this ball like pops, it is not sore but it freaks me out.

Anyone have any idea? Feels like someone put a marble in my the top of my bicep and if it gets squeezed it then shifts. I have tried massaging it but to no avail. Hope this makes sense

One other thing, i got some bcaa's, i take like 20 gram of it during the day. Is it too much and are bcaa a bunch of rubbish?

What about a supplement review thread?

Can't +1 that enough :)

Wrapping knees gives what kind of support exactly...? I would agree and say it may protect you from accidental injury but if you are gonna squat with good form etc then you shouldn't have problems with your knees. The same goes for somebody who squats like an idiot, no amount of wrapping is gonna save you. I believe a belt has a protective function when it is used (not abused mind you) but I think wrapping your knees has very minimal effects other than maybe keeping you warm. Maximal lifts are another story of course, every little bit of extra help is needed :)

Well, my training partner's knees are well and truly shot (from a bike accident). The man can hardly climb a flight of stairs. Despite this, however, knee wraps allow him to squat very decent weights without any pain. He is also one of those guys that used to say that wraps don't help but since he fell off his bike he's had no choice but to change his mind because without wraps he can't even squat 2 wheels.

Just get the cheapest supplement you can find with the most glucosomine and chondroitin, dont waste your money on universal/muscle tech products, check OsteoEeze at dischem, its for arthritis, but has a decent amount of g&c and thats all you really need for your joints and ligaments

Osteo-Eeze Gold Caps 90 90 Homeopathic & Natural Remedies R 129.95 @ Springbok pharmacy
vs
the animal flex @ R489.00

I feel like someone has been punching me on my arms, chest and back for two days after my personal training yesterday. Flip I can hardly move.

Maybe some of the experienced lifters can answer this.

I almost don't do bicep exercises anymore apart from the odd weighted chinup and hammer curls once every couple of weeks. The bicep is such a small muscle group I feel it gets worked on enough doing deadlifts and other compound exercises. I mainly focus on tricep workouts to increase the size of my arms. Good idea?

what do you guys think of this diet? http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/aaron1.htm
This sounds awesome! Just what I need I think cause have a bet going on with some friends to see who can reduce the most body fat percentage in 6 weeks :p

Anyone know where I can get a decent ECA stack in Cape Town? For the life of me I can't find the details of the guy I used moons ago...
I know a guy in Claremont, but i dont have his number. I think it was ECA stack he can get. Thats what the body builders use to get cut right? Wanted to get his number anyways for future reference. Not sure when i will bump into him again though. He gyms at Claremont VA.

Not to freak u out even more, but maybe it's a growth of some sort? Get it checked out?

Bicep and symmetry question

Is the key to muscle symmetry to lift the same weight but then to do each arm or leg one at a time? Or does one take it one step further and do an extra set or two on that arm/leg?

I've gained 7mm size in my right arm (bicep) in the last year but diddly squat improvement on my left bicep!! HELP!!!
