Gave a Noob a BGH cookie... Damn it... Having to be a Spirit Guide, while you're high as well, is tricky.

Noob puked it's lungs out and vowed to never do weed again. Bob Saget!

It's my fault for not explaining about the trip they'll have and to prepare for it. I saw the Noob couch locking and I disturbed it... And boooom.

This is why you dont give inexperienced people cannabis edibles. This is also why you shouldnt advocate the use of them unless they know exactly how to manage themselves. Because it takes so long to come on in many instances, people often over indulge and absolutely ruin any good experience they may have had. They must research first, and you must restrict quantity until they know their limits.

As the 'spirit guide' you werent too responsible.

That said, only noobs buy BGH cookies...

Has anybody visited the 420 head shop lately. Are they still at 102 Sandton Drive? Any idea of menu and pricing.

@Surv0 So where can the Vets get the decent edibles?

Make them yourself :p There are some guys who are making some nice edibles but you need to get onto Facebook to interact with them since most of their business is done on there.

BGH caters for the low tolerance masses who arent sure about what to do. Cant think of any names off hand right now as I have become less active in the community but there are lots out there. Ill try remember and come back here with some names.

Without proper testing being done, you actually cannot confirm if what you buy is what is being advertised so better to buy the weed and make it yourself.

Id appreciate if you share some names once you remember

Empress Wicked Edible Delights - Wendy Buys Fourie (https://www.facebook.com/wendy.buysfourie)

Look her up on facebook, loads of people love her stuff. Shes been around for a while.

Also Mirishin and Johan who run "SA's first medical dispensory" out of JNB also produce some amazing products under the label 'Can du Kitchen'. You would need to get in touch directly with them to make an order.

You can also join this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1027108430756290/ - which I started 2 years ago but have since handed over to somebody else to manage. Was occupying way too much of my time unfortunately. But there are still some industry regulars/breeders/cooks who are on this page and can assist with any queries or at least linking in the right people.

What is the difference between the oil and tinctures? Are tinctures generally alcahol based and a lot stronger than the oil?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but Oils are made with some form of oil, coconut is common. Tinctures are made with food grade ethanol.

I understand tinctures to be glycerin based with oils either pure or mixed into coconut oil. Coco hardens at normal room temperatures so doesnt really work as a tincture ingredient.

I use ethanol to extract the cannabis oil from the buds, then mix this down in coconut oil for easier consumption, once all ethanol has been purged.

Either option can be equally strong dependant on the dilution. So when purchasing a cannabis based product, understand the amount of cannabis going into it in total. I mix 1ml pure to 20ml coconut oil, and change this dependent on the requirement. Same ratios are kept across products to keep the dosages the same.

Also I would definitely stay away from any alcohol based tincture, there really shouldnt be any at all.

Do you know how to contact them? I've never been able to find any contact details for Can Du... I've only ever seen their stuff sold by resellers.

Tried it once, ****ed it up royally, wasted a lot of good bud in the process. That was enough to put me off trying again, now I just buy from the local weedwoman.
Oh okay. Because I have always only made my own. You just boil a bankie of good weed in some sun flower oil until black. Strain it and use it in cake recipe (most cake recipes have a portion of oil that must be added). Then you take the stuff that is left in the strainer put it in a pan with butter. Strain that and use that melted butter for icing. And voila! Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt, you have some grade A space cakes

Nah man. It's not that much work. Easy peasy. But for interest sake. How much do you guys pay for edibles. What's the going rate?
About R80 for 8 cookies at cannasutra. THC content of 30mg.

There is a stronger version which costs more. Haven't tried it.
