About R80 for 8 cookies at cannasutra. THC content of 30mg.

There is a stronger version which costs more. Haven't tried it.
Well I guess that is not too bad. I mean I would pay R150 for a bankie, then the ingredients. So say for R250 or so I get about 24 cupcakes.. And then there is the labour involved. So, yeah R80 for eight ain't bad. And I also don't know what the THC content of mine would be. All I know is I generally have to clear my schedule for the next two days when I plan to eat them hahaha

Thats actually very low. Cookies should be upwards of 150mg.

It's certainly enough for me. I Guess users with more tolerance will need a whole batch of those cookies.

I will die on 150mg THC. LoL

Baking is very easy, you have to understand the decarboxilation process though.

Decarbing bud converts the THCA to THC and is always required if you want edibles. I good average to go on is about 100c for about 30-45min. You can find scales online of the THC conversion to breakdown time at various temperatures but the temp and time listed above is generally fine.

You can do this in the oven.

Once you are happy, and the bud is nice and dry/brown.. you can mix this into your cupcake mix and cook away.

You can also fry some bud in some butter, you will see the colour change when the THC has been extracted. Strain the butter and use it in a mix of sorts.

Bearing in mind that you will never know the true THC content if following this method. The only way you can do this accurately is to extract the THC oils and use these in the mixes. That way you can control the actual amount going in.

I still want to try baking my own. 420 suggested about 40g local skunk for 20 cookies but not sure if this enough / too much. I am properly stoned on 1 BGH cookie but I guess you cant compare as nobody knows the THC content of the BGH cookies.

Bout to try them for the first time... Do they usually have decent specials?

Also, any comment on the R10 per gram stuff that they do?
I bought some of the R10 local skunk and when smoking a small pipe (4 hits) I am where I want to be, in a good way.

I must add that I smoked about 10 years ago but only some weekends so Im not a seasoned user.

I also bought some White Widow and the only difference I can feel is the smoothness and the high comes gradually whereas the skunk was ****t immediately.

Damn, that's like a years supply of herb. I understand why people like edibles but the value for money vs smoking is crazy disproportionate.

I agree, but cant find them at this strenth
It would be dangerous to sell at that high strength. Someone with low tolerance might try them and spend time with Alice in wonderland for a lifetime.

Seems overly complicated. All this talk about THC and mg and what not. I just bake and get baked. It's all trial and error to me. Part of the fun I suppose. Kind of like a lucky packet. You never really know what you are going to get. It's like the old saying: Shot for the moon, even if you miss you land amongst the stars haha

The real important thing to remember about edibles is that you pace yourself. Wait at least an hour before consuming more. Sometimes even longer. Keep in mind your body have to digest it first. It is for this reason that it's very easy to get the dosage wrong and end up on some planet on the outskirts of our solar system.

it's rubbish... edibles need a fraction of the smoked dosage of THC... delta9-THC is converted in the liver to delta-11-THC which is a lot more potent, and lasts longer

Like I said. I just use a bankie amount of weed to make one batch of cupcakes that can contain anywhere from 24 cupcakes upward depending on the size of them. I usually have oil left over that I can keep in the fridge and use later for a second batch. I suppose you can use less weed too. I would suggest just experimenting and then carefully consuming them. That's my modus operandi.

Yeah a bankie per batch is about right.

Assuming the cannabis has 15% THC this would mean 40g cannabis has 6000mg THC or 300mg per cookie which is high but not crazy high. At 10% it is 200mg per cookie.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it. Think I should rather start with 20g, 200mg sounds to much for a non seasoned user.

So now you ask, a an actual bank bag size, or these new "bankies" the 1-2gram size "bankies"
No I mean a bankie like the ones you get in the bank. That size. Not the ones you get your spare buttons in.
