The Division

I got to watch this at home last night. I know my view is skewed by the fact that I really enjoy this game, but the criticism that "bullet spongy enemies break the immersion of the real-world setting" is weak. I personally struggle with the idea that people seem to struggle divorcing a game from reality. That train of thought is seemingly prevalent though, as it seems to pop up fairly often...

I know this is probably understood, but has been bugging me for a while.
Just in case it wasn't clear, this wasn't aimed at you ponder.

Can you say how much high-end tech is needed to craft a weapon? Based on the +1 requirement per level, it seemed like purples would used around 24 or 25 blue tech to craft a level 30 weapon.

I'm not the best to ask since I've got 2 weapon blueprints :p

The SMG needs 5 HE Weapon Parts, 3 Tools

I assume it slightly varies between weapon types

Anyone here know what is up with error 'DELTA 20020192' and how to resolve the issue? It is the only game giving me connection problems and I have tried the UBI Q&A and Google DNS…

Just shy of 20

If you want to level quickly, group with a friend that is a way higher level than you and follow him through some of the story missions.

Prior to them not implementing the 'PxC will drop various amounts from level 30-32 named bosses' change (apparently due to client stability), I'm glad the DZ is being improved!

Lol I would never have thought that it was aimed at me, I'm not the the reviewer :D

I must say, this is not a bad game.

I only got to play a few hours and I am running more around and do encounters and some side missions.
Not any real missions yet.

Only level 15 now so I still have a way to go but I do really enjoy this game, it is a bit different from the rest.

I was doing a lot of encounters, but got a bit bored of them. Now been doing the side missions and main missions. Best way to get levels.

I was 19 last night, ran with my friend who hit 30 other day, finished the night and now I'm 26... Those purple drops are pure joy... Can't wait for my first gold drop!

It's a very refreshing change! Diablo meets Borderlands meets Ghost Recon in NYC

I'll add you this evening!

All hail the 2 - 3gb download - depending on platform :D
I'm happy with a lot of the changes in this patch though. The Dark Zone ones worry me a tad, as I may get demolished, but that's the risk you take going in there I suppose.

Playing this long weekend with regular company was a welcome change. I started with a new character (having more than 1 level 30 is seemingly a good way to "farm" phoenix credits) and we've mostly been leveling up together. Those characters are around level 15.

What we decided to try was to do my Hard Mode dailies with my level 30, and have him tag along.
If you didn't know, this is what happens:
- Mission stays at level 30, meaning low level people die if a bullet thinks about going in their direction.
- Loot is dropped based on each players level. IE I get lvl 30 purples, he got level 15 blues.
- Players below 30 don't get the Phoenix credits. I thought maybe they would, and still live in hope.

Yea I agree on the encounters. What I found is that they become a bit trivial until you hit your 20's. You're mostly just to far ahead in levels for them to be a challenge until that point. Side missions I enjoyed as you start getting purple blueprints when you hand the mission back to the JTF officer.

I'm happy with the high end drops being rare, and thus so far all I've seen is Division Tech and one Gear Mod. I crafted Damascus, quite a beastly pistol :)

Can confirm. I was 25 and helped a mate who is 30 with his one of his daily challenges. Loot he got was significantly better than mine. I was going to stick at lvl 29 for a bit, and then move to 30 once I got some more gear from DZ, he now just going to get 30 as fast as I can, and start chasing after those gold items!

One gripe I have is that you cant change your fire rate.

So if your gun is on full auto it stays on full auto.
I understand it is as simple as trigger play but still it would have been such a small thing for them to include this as an player option.

One thing I also picked up was its not always to do with your level and Armour level but more to do with what perks you have and what works with them.

Even hanging around the DZ prior to 30 isn't worth it :( The gear you have access to at 30 is much much better

The number of times I've gone Rogue because I one shot idiots who run in front of my Marksman Rifle

I'm starting to experiment with talents now. At max level you can have 4 active. Right now I'm a bit of a mish-mash between defense and offense, but I need to pick a "role" and try specialise in it.

Not that it mixes it up dramatically, but the Master mods on abilities also give you some flexibility.

Hehehehehehehe :p Well the changes to the Dark Zone will make that pay off a little better :D

As for the going to 30 in the DZ, I agree. My goal was similar, hang around the max level of that bracket (29) and farm gear, while being high enough that I can fend of wannabe rogues. Technically even if you've got some level 30 blues, DZ01 and 02 are still manageable solo. Named boss groups will most likely require help when you're starting off.

You start getting good drops outside the DZ, in missions, and from doing some of the 'Kill the leader' or Defend encounters. If you are willing to spend the money, vendors start selling a purple item each, and both the Advanced vendors (Tech and Security) even sell High End blue prints and gear. The Tech vendor needs Phoenix credits though.

Once you learn how the Master mod works for Support Station, you won't remove it from L1/R1 bumpers so easily ;) (I don't know what the key binds are for PC)

Finished end-game content (took maybe not more than 20 hours) with level 30 (the end-boss was a true disappointment - uh well). The daily challenge missions are nice as they drop guaranteed gold gear and is hardly a challenge at all. The darkzone is another issue altogether. Going rogue is no issue, but right now there are too many bugs causing you to go rogue (turrets, grenades - just read that today's patch is supposed to fix this).

Unlike Bungie with Destiny, UBI seems to be on the ball with fixes - not just nerfing weapons, but also fixing obvious bugs. Some variety in challenge mode would be nice as enemies always stream in the same way and yesterday's Lexington mission could be done in short of 30 minutes.

Still a lot of bugs (PS4): can not collect echos on the map, frequently falling through the map and getting hit behind walls/cover.
