MXQ is a pretty decent Android Box IMHO. For your first box ... it's neat!
It's quad core ... I started with a single core android box

Indeed. Watched a few youtube vids, and it will do fine for my immediate needs. Ie play movies from external and xbmc and youtube.

I run Aeon MQ5 on the droid and its considered a heavy skin and it runs awesome.

Is this a good thing to get? Can this replace the entire remote? Or can I use it completely as the remote. The MXQ remote just looks so standard lol

I have seen them but never used them. User experience is everything I reckon so you don't wanna cheapen the experience.

Im just wondering. The mele remote is not by any means cheap. But im thinking of how in the world do I type things say on youtube or searching something on the web with the standard remote.

Maybe Jaque will surprise the Ice with a better remote ;) who knows lol

I'm sure there is cheaper options out there that is as good as the Mele F10.
Lemme do some research for us

@Lino: I have the 1GB MXIII and I can't say that I've ever felt that I needed more RAM. The MXIII is generally considered to be one of the best android media players currently available.

Here is a detailed review which shows the playback capabilities, benchmarks, WiFi, memory speeds etc. of the Probox 2 ex which uses the same motherboard as the MXIII (2GB RAM, 16GB flash memory, external antenna).

RAM may help with gaming, but honestly, 1Gb is plenty in these things.

The MX3 remote has full keyboard and airmouse. That one you posted doesn't do airmouse AFAIK.

No but like i said Arietans, im not going for the MX3 due to budget constraints. So going for the MXQ. as far as i can tell, the remote is as standard as it comes, so i have a feeling it will be very awkward to type. There are plenty of remotes on AV Supply, but some of them cost almost as much as the MXQ lol. :D

I think you're confusing the MXIII and the MX3 remote - two different things altogether

Hardly expensive. How much is the one you posted?

aah i didnt see this one. the one i posted was R300. so maybe this would be a better option. Im not sure why these type of remotes dont come standard with the Droid boxes. ill see if Jaque can make magic for me lol... :D
