I was actually looking into this yesterday myself, this works well.

Also got setup with the same application and it works great!

That looks very neat and tidy I have to say.

Is that their default launcher? It's the same as the Nvidia Shield I think?

Yep all is default bud, just removed some of the system pe-installed stuff that I would never use other than that I haven't played around with a single setting.

May I ask how did you install chrome? Each time I try to side-load it, it fails.

Mmm nothing beyond the standard way of installing, I downloaded the latest APK from the net and dumped it into my OneDrive. Then I use ES File Explorer to connect to my OneDrive and install from there, prefer that method then I eliminate the whole find a USB and copy process...

Damn, mine kept failing.

I just found this out:
Signed into google play store from my laptop and then chose my MiBox as the device to install chrome.

Ah epic find thanks! Just uninstalled now from the sideloaded version and also grabbed the google Play version. Thanks bud.

Now my app icon is missing, went back to the side loaded version.

If what that other poster said about the Telkom LIT box availability, expect the app to be live closer or on the 20th September. Not too long of a wait :) unless someone shares the apk from the Telkom box .

It's still not available on the play store though

A friend of mine, bought a MXQ Pro from BoB. He has an error when trying to play something inside the DSTV Now app. "Device is rooted".
Is there a way to get by that? We tried a few Hide my root apps from the play store, with no success.

It's been mentioned like 10 posts back just downgrade the app and try another version of the APK.
