both free kicks from him, both really awesome free kicks and he scored the goal i would say he performed a ronaldo type performance and helped germany win, more so than other player in the german team but your right was a group effort in the end but for me he stood out as their top player in that game.
i think someone who scores and sets up 2 goals makes a difference in a team but hey thats just me

Well I believe Holland have a very good chance of taking it. I'm a true German supporter but I believe if the Netherlands keep up their current form, Germany may have a big problem in the final...

Without the team performance driving the ball up the pitch/creating chances, he wouldnt have got any chance at goal.
Portugal were not terrible, they came up against a stronger team its as simple as that.
They 11th and Germany are 5th for a reason.Portugal have never won a major tournament and never will with teams like Germany/brazil/italy etc playing in it.
If you watched football for years you would know that Germany always have a slow start to tournaments.
Go look up what those 3 stars on their chest is..they there for a reason.

Dude, compared to how they had played in the previous games Portugal were awful. They offered nothing going forward for most of the game and their defending for two of the goals was really poor. Still, they managed to only lose 3-2 in the end.
I know Germany make a slow start, I said so earlier if you were paying attention. I said that if Portugal played how they had been playing and Germany did the same it would be an easy win for Portugal. Sadly, this was not the case and that is why Germany managed to win the way they did.
It's not rocket science.

I am not sure why you chose those quotes really. Doesn't tell me anything about anything other than what I already told you I said.
Up until yesterday, Germany were poor. Last night they managed to raise their game just enough to beat an out-of-sorts Portugal team.
Now they are in the semi's anything can happen.
End of 'debate'.
I quoted that because it shows your knowledge regarding football and germany's performance in general.
Germany ALWAYS raise their game out of the group stages, if you had watched a world cup or a euro before now you would know that.
"out-of-sorts" portugal?? they lost becuase germany are better that is why portugal lay 11th in the world with no cup wins.

I did not say they though they were going to lose - they agreed with what I have been saying, and you have been ignoring, namely that Germany had had a poor first three games.
I can make it no clearer than that.
How many times must I tell you, IF YOU WATCHED A TOURNAMENT BEFORE NOW (as its obviously your first time watching a football tournament) THIS IS NORMAL GERMAN PERFORMANCE.
