Resting players has been done since year dot and has benefited many previous world cup/euro winners.now supa before you jump in say i dont understand resting players
i do
so portugal makes alot of changes, played like crap against the germans(im not saying portugal are crap supa) went out
croatia played a totally second team, out to turkey
dutch didnt make as many changes but made changes, lets see if russia take them down
spain made many changes, lets see if italy knock them out
italy never never had a chance to rest players
nor did russia
will be interesting to see if the teams that never made changes all go through, in a short comp like this im not so sure making all these changes really benefits teams when they play in a really big game, even though the players are rested they have still only played 2 games together, sure these teams played alot of friendlies but thats not he same as playing big group games
yep i know that but if all teams that rest players go out? can it be called a coincidence?
so your saying italy have no chance tomorrow night?
also italy have a very good past much like germany, so i dont see why spain will beat them? i mean they have a past and all
no im not but according to supa and kule, teams with history will always win in the knock out stagesyou know history is the reason they win
i dunno hey i have a good feeling about russia, look holland can still win this comp no doubt but russia i think are go to give them their hardest matches of the euro so far
Tonight's game should be great with 2 attacking teams going for it
Croatia chocked last night. WTF 2 of the first 3 pen takers for Croatia were around 20. One wasn't even a first team regular.
Any nice places in CT to watch the Dutch/Russia game tonight with the family? Maybe have a late dinner tonight? I do not have DSTV![]()
Henry's place
LOL. Don't think it's quite big enough
Can't think of a cool spot where you can eat and watch - there is the Sports Cafe of course, but that lost its appeal for me years ago..
The Sports Cafe in the Waterfront closed some time ago. I was thinking of going to the Spur. The one in Plattekloof is usually nice & not so busy.
Spur might work but they won't exactly 'show' the game. It'll be on in the background without the commentary![]()
