The Fallout 3 Thread

@Natas: Tell him to go back to Vault 101 :D

I was thinking of doing just that, but I didnt get around before he died. The truth is that dog meat acutally is quite useful and thats why I kept him around. I put in another serious cession last nigh and I am now well past the point at which he died. maybe I'll keep him alive if I ever get round to a second play through.

Oh, with regard to Dogmeat, remember to talk to him now and again and give him a stimpack to heal him.

Or if you are getting sick of him dyeing the entire time there is a console command to make him invincible. Gotta love the oblivion engine most issues can be resolved if you know the console commands.:D

And what is the console command then?

Here you go. According to MadCat 221 at the official fallout 3 forums. I tested it and it works.

two console commands, in order...

"prid 6a775"

"moveto player"

If you want to make him invincible, "setessential 6a772 1".

hey i fin it took 2 days without side quests.
to bad u can't play on when the game ends
the game engine was more like oblivion but with more action
i'm a real sucker for action games.in oblivion u could
play on at the end but in fallout 3u can't wonder if
bethesda finished it,i hear it was a other company's idea
but they went bank rumpt so bethesda started with their
oblivion engine (not from scratch).

My Karma was also to high at first to let Jericho join me. I went into every settlemet = in megaton, stole everything till my karma was low enough:D

I'm not going to finish Fallout 3 for a long time... I plan to go all over etc... I'm going to explore and really enjoy this game!

My only problem with Fallout 3 so far is that it's way to easy to level up. I'm already at level 20 (the max) and I haven't done much of the main quest and only a few sidequests. There are loads of locations to visit so if you really want to explore the game I'm guessing you are looking at around 80 hours + of gameplay.

If you are playing the PC version, try out this better pacing mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=80

I haven't given it a go myself yet. Waiting until I start a new game.

The only one thing that bugs the hell outta me is the walking/running around, takes forever!

A mod to make this faster could be great :)

Quick traveling helps quite a lot, but of course you first need to discover the location which can be frustrating, but then again doing away with all the walking might just make the game much too short...

Ok, is anyone else as disappointed in the ending as i was?

I was very disappointing. Its not even close to the great endings of FO1 + FO2. I also don't see this 100 endings that one of devs were talking about before the game launched.

Yeah, i replayed the last section from my last saved game in 3 different ways. The endings had slightly different variants to them. I'm going to replay it now with as much bad karma as possible and see where it goes.
