Had some great wines recently while on holiday in the Maldives

The same wine, expensive or otherwise, taste different to me every time I drink it.

I don't know whether it is due to the chemicals in my mouth or something else, but a great tasting wine today tasted awful on another day, and vice versa.

As such I've stopped bothering with expensive liquor. It's just a flex for guests, in my case.
I'll pour someone Vat69 from a JW-Blue Label bottle and they'll sip it all the same.

The best sommelier I've met is Maldivian. His pronunciation of French is atrocious.

Probably...but then again, in the land of the blind and all that. She should at least get the basics right. Even if just to boost her credibility and number of followers.

I rather take advice from real sommeliers on YT.

Although this is my go-to:

"What is a good wine?"
"A wine that you like."

It takes a certain level of douchebaggery to think that just because someone speaks a foreign language with a different accent/can't pronouce foreign words, that their knowledge is not reliable.

I'd ask that you say the word 'croissant', but my ears would bleed.

It takes a certain level of stupidity to blame the incorrect pronunciation of a world renown Champagne House's name, on a language barrier. Moët is not a "foreign word"... :ROFL: :ROFL:

This is not a pronunciation issue...this is lack of knowledge.

Your childish little "croissant" chirp just exposes this emotional argument of yours.

Not as stupid as you that keep referring to...once again...the name of a world famous Champagne House...as a "foreign word".

If you want to make YT videos about Champagne, the most important thing is to get the name right.

Lemme guess...you've also been pronouncing it wrong all your life? Is that why you're so upset?

I am 100% sure you're one of those people that order the most expensive bottle of anything from the wine menu, as loud as you can.

Remember money doesn't buy taste...

Now off you go, son. I've got more important things to do than argue with a child about the pronunciation of wine estates and champagne houses.
